CHAPTER 23 RECOVERING Johnson entered the hospital ward a few days later with a stack of magazines in his arms. He lifted up his right arm and stroked his eyebrow. He was in desperate need of water from a dry mouth, putting it down to not eating or drinking much ever since Lisa’s accident. He couldn’t sleep and the image of her suffering such trauma filled his every waking moment. What was wrong with him? It wasn’t like him to be thinking about a woman incessantly.
