Generational Things, Parenting and So ForthAnything you say or do can be used against you. At the time I was raising my first three, it was common to tell each one they were your favorite; a game, sort of, or maybe one that had more rules than I knew about. They used that against me once they grew up to the stage where they told me what I’d done wrong. Kids: they love you, then they hate you, then they forgive you. Then they have kids of their own and the ball of wax can roll right over their pointy little heads (nothing personal, kids, if you ever read this.) Later, with Archie, it was the fashion to tell your children they were special and unique.
