Afterthought Number Two:I just read the following on a depression website (somewhat paraphrased): “As we deal with depression, we feel as though we’re lacking in some way, inadequate, that we just don’t know what other people know, perhaps even that we just don’t belong at all. Other people are placed on a pedestal, but we’re down there, in the gutter, overlooked. We feel undeserving of others’ love, attention, and kindness. The constant fear of being ‘found out’, that we’re not good enough, hinders our every thought, our every action. We live with the constant fear that when others do find out the total truth about who we are, they will leave.” And here all this time I thought it was ‘just’ being transgendered, even though I know I have suffered with depression since puberty.
