2006January 10: We are on Maui! Up and Down the Cliffs We Go. Well that was fun, and I didn’t bleed too much. We were following my GPS to a geocache and it was down (D O W N) a path alongside the highway, just off the pull-out where you can watch for whales. So D O W N we went. I slipped on the dusty dirt right off the bat and in my usual graceful fashion, managed to land on my butt rather than do a wheelie-whirly down the hill. However, in doing so, my knees had to bend pretty abruptly and my left knee is still complaining about it.
Then it got steep. I ended up sliding down a four-foot bluff (on purpose) and pussyfooting around a ledge to the cache that Robyn had already spotted in the rocks). I signed the logbook, took a Chile travel bug, left something and had to come back up. Which I
