"NO! You can't go to the party! You're only sixteen! I don't want you to get r***d by unmated males! Do you know how that would sound? A BETA getting rapped by some males! We would be a laughing stock because of you!" My oldest brother said.

"It won't happen, I promise! I'm going to be with my girls, you know them! Please Brother!" I whined, tears running down my cheeks.

"I said, NO! I don't want our pack to be laughed at because of your mistake. You're weak. Pathetic. I don't even know how you can be our f*****g Beta. A weakling, beta is just to laugh at. Even more, if she gets r***d," he said, grinding his teeth.

"You guys ready? We have to go or we will be late", Jeff said.

"Yea, let's go. Karma, you go upstairs and stay in your room. You're not going."Jason said.

"Jason, I'm not five nor seven, you can't treat me like I'm a kid anymore. It was funny and fun at first, but now it's just annoying." I said rolling my eyes.

"Talk back one more time and I won't hesitate to chain you up and pour white flower liquid all over you. And don't EVER, and I mean EVER roll your eyes at me." He said. His eyes were getting darker every second.

And like that, they left locking the doors behind them. I walked upstairs and just as I sat on the bed, my phone was ringing. It was Alexandra. I picked up the phone and answered the call.

"Hey, girl! Are you going to the party? Three packs are going there, even the Rose pack! Can you believe that? Like OMG! Beta Bane will be there too! I heard he still hasn't found his mate!" Alexandra said, all excited.

"Ugh! I wish I could, but Jason wouldn't let me go because I would make a laughingstock out of our pack! Can you believe that!?"

"Why does he think THAT!?"

"He says I will get rapped blah blah blah, I'm too weak blah blah blah, and so on. Ugh! These days are like this. I wish I was an only child!" I breathed hard and then continued. "But I am not missing that party. Come to my house and get my white mask, then come to my bedroom window with the ladder."

"That's my girl. We will be there in ten minutes! Don't forget to grab your Ocean ring!"

"Don't worry, I won't. What theme are you girls going for?"

"Midnight. So I think, instead of your white mask, I'll grab your Owl mask. Okay?"

"Yeep. Cya in ten!"

Without waiting for a response, I hung up, rushing to my closet to grab my black long-sleeved dress.

I put the dress on with black heels. I walked to my vanity and put on the ring and midnight black lipstick. I heard a knock on the window and I walked up to open it.

"Hey, girl, you look good! If you were wearing a red dress I could feel that all the guys would be looking at you." Luce said giggling. "Anyway, here is the Owl mask." She hands out the mask and I grab it, putting it on with a smirk.

"Well, I'm ready, let's go." She walks down the ladder and I climb out the window and down the ladder.

When I reach the ground, we all hug and start walking to Alice's black BTW car.

We drove to the party. It was a half an hour's drive but we made it just in time.

We got out of the car and headed to the house. I observed the house. A white and brown Mansion. with huge windows.

When we went inside, I smelled alcohol, drugs, s*x, sweat, and weed.

We went straight to the kitchen. The girls started pouring some whiskey with cola or sprite, whichever they grab first.

Lilly poured me some but I rejected it. I didn't want to get drunk because I was going to be the one driving them back home. I sighed, ignoring my friends getting drunk.

After a while, I started walking around talking to people, smoking a little. That's when I caught the scent.

It smelled like roses mixed with something very sweet. I started following the scent until I was grabbed from behind by the wrist.

I looked at the person who grabbed me. I saw that it was some guy that I could tell was from the Rose pack. I sighed.

"Heh sorry, but you can't go there. It's off-limits for you. Only Alphas or Betas can go there." The guy said with a smile.

"Excuse me? Then why did you stop me?" I pulled my arm away from him.

"Because you can't go there."

"You just said that Alphas and Betas can go there though," I said, crossing my arms over my chest.

"Yes, yes, I did say that and?"

"I'm Karma Slefin Beta of the Shadow pack," I said, rolling my eyes.

"Oh then go right ahead," he said with a sheepish smile.

I turned to walk in that direction but the scent was gone. I cursed under my breath and walked there anyway.

As I was walking, I saw Jason with some Omegas. I rolled my eyes at that and kept on walking. Until I caught the scent again.

I started walking faster but stopped when I lost the scent.

Did he hide his scent? I sighed and just walked around.

After a while, I saw Beta Bane. I saw him looking at me, smirking. I turned around and walked away, but I was stopped when he grabbed me by my sleeve. I turned to him and froze.

'Mate' Shadow said.

A gasp escaped my mouth. He just chuckled. He took my hand and kissed the back of it.

"I'm Beta Bane and who are you, my little mate?" He asked with a smirk.

"B-Beta Karm-Karma"

He chuckled and pulled me into his chest.

"And why is my mate wearing a mask? Hm?"He asked, resting his chin on my head.

"Uh.. u-um... r-reasons" He just chuckled. I felt someone wanted to mind link me so I opened it. It was Lilly.

"Karma, we need to go! I just heard your brothers talking about leaving!" My eyes widened at her words.

"I'll be in the car in five."

"Okay, just hurry. We are already waiting."

I close the link and push Bane away.

"Huh? Everything okay?" He asked, confused at my sudden action.

I ignored him and started walking away. I heard him walking behind me but I just ignored him.

When I was near the car, a guy grabbed me from behind and lifted my mask, then kissed me on the lips. I pushed him away and we shared eye contact. After a few seconds, he started yelling and screaming. I heard the sound of bones breaking.

I felt a hand on my shoulder and I turned away from the guy. Alice grabbed my hand and dragged me to the car. Leaving my mask behind.

I sat in the driver's seat. Alice gave me the car keys and I drove off.

I hopped out of the car and Alice took the wheel, driving the girls home. I quickly ran to my bedroom window and climbed the ladder. After I climbed inside, I pushed the ladder to the ground and quickly changed into a hoodie and some pants. Then I jumped on the bed and drifted off to sleep.

I was wakened up by Matt.

"Wake up! We have a f*****g visitor!" He left and I growled.

I went to the closet and changed into some black pants, a white hoodie, white sneakers, and a black blindfold. I brushed my hair and walked downstairs.

I froze. His scent hit me. f**k. This isn't happening. I was walking towards the kitchen to grab a snack before seeing them but I didn't make it. I was pushed to the wall by him and he lowered his head and whispered in my ear.

"You can't escape me mate."

Present time

RING RING RIINNNNNNNNNG!

I snapped out of my thoughts by the bell. I quickly grabbed my stuff and ran out of class.

He's back. He's f*****g back. I would rather die than see him again.

I hate him. I do. Why is he here anyway? Why is he back? What does he want?

I was thinking about how to avoid him until I bumped into someone. I looked up and saw that it was Bla- Blake! This is stressful.

"You okay kitten?" He asked. I just nodded, looking down.

He lifted my head by the chin to look at him and he gave me a sweet smile and I smiled back. Until I heard his voice again.

"Karma, wait up! Geez, you run so fast. Huh, who are you?" Bane asked, with a questionable look on his face and jealousy. Was he jealous because I was with Blake (Blaze)?

"I'm Blake, Karma's mate, and you?" He asked him.

"I'm Bane, Karma's mate"
