The Mysterious Girl

Chapter - 28

Andrea

I only have three weeks and two days to befriend her. If this plan goes well, as Ashley says. Then the Mythical werewolf will be dead and we can then go to that territory during the Red moon.

The only thing I don't understand is her words:

'Good for you, but I don't talk to people that talk to her.'

What did she mean by that? Anyway, I need to hurry up to school.

I walk downstairs to the kitchen and grab something to eat. I ate while looking at my phone to see a message from Ashley.

So, are you going to talk to her today? - Ashley.

Yea, just thinking about how to find her. I don't have any classes with her. - Andrea.

Ah! I'll send you her schedule and she goes to classes early. Also, when she doesn't have a class, she goes to the library. Anything else? - Ashley.

For now, it's enough. I'll text or call you if I need anything else. - Andrea.

K. By the way, don't talk to me at school from now on. - Ashley.

Um... Why? - Andrea.

Karma hates me. So if you want to befriend her don't talk to me. -Ashley.

K got it. - Ashley.

I finished eating and got up, took my backpack, and out the door, I went! I got into my car and drove off to school.

As I stepped inside, I looked at the time. It's 7:30 Am. I looked at Karma's schedule that Ashley sent me and saw that she has Math, then two passing periods, then Chemistry.

Great, she has two passing periods. That means she'll be in the library.

As I started walking to my class, I noticed four girls talking. I secretly took a photo of them and sent it to Ashley.

Who are these girls? - Andrea.

Alexandra, Lilly, Luce, and Alice. Karma's friends. - Ashley.

Any warnings? - Andrea.

Hm... Careful around Alexandra and Luce. Mostly Alexandra. She can pick up any lie very fast. Luce is a bit calmer but as protective as Alexandra. Lilly is friendly but doesn't like gossip girls or popular ones. Alice is friendly and easygoing. So I recommend making a friendship with Alice. - Ashley.

Thanks for the info. - Andrea.

Np! Just make sure you get close enough to Karma. - Ashley.

Will do. - Andrea.

I put my phone in my pocket while walking until I bumped into someone.

"Oh- I'm sorry."

"It's fine. You're new, right?" he says as I look up at him.

"Yea. I'm Andrea and you are?"

"I'm Max, Delta of the Claw pack."

"Claw pack? I haven't heard of that pack."

"Well-" He was cut off by another guy.

"Max! Did you get Alpha's message? I forgot my phone back at the packhouse."

I heard Max sigh and then looked at him. "Vince, how many times do I have to tell you to not forget your phone? And yes, I got his message, I can go get it after school. If he finds out that you forgot your phone, he's going to have your head. He isn't in a good mood after telling his mate to go back to her pack."

He looked back at me. "This is Vince, Beta of the Claw pack.". "Andrea". I reach my hand out and he shakes it.

I smiled at him and he gave me a smirk. I see his eyes traveling up and down my body.

"Need a tour of the school?" He asks.

"Sur-" I was cut off by Max.

"Dude. Don't even try anything funny. If another girl tells on you. Your dead meat." He rolled his eyes.

"Chill! It's not like this chick likes me. Or do you? He smirks.

I blush and shake my head. I heard him chuckle. I opened my mouth to talk but I was cut off.

"Vince, Max! Have you seen Karma? She isn't answering her messages." A girl asked, walking up to us.

"No, I was about to ask you that. Did one of you do something to her, Alexandra?"

So this is Alexandra? She doesn't sound like Ashley told me.

"US!? It's your Alpha that told her to go back to her pack! She had a lot of questions to ask him!"

Never mind. She's scary when she's angry. Like geez. What's up with her? Did she wake up on the wrong side of the bed?

"Tell him that, not us! We don't control him!" Vince growled.

"Growl at me one more time and you will be sorry." She growled back.

"Wow, Alexandra! Why are you so upset? You never get upset about those things." Max says, laughing.

I heard her sigh and looked at him. If looks could kill, both of them would be dead. No joke.

"Well, Max. I'm upset because Karma isn't around. So that means we let our anger get the best of us, as you know."

"Okay... Anyway, Have you tried looking for her in her class?"

"OF COURSE I HAVE! She's not there though! And Alice is acting weirdly."

"What do you mean by Alice acting weirdly?"

"She's not talking as much as she used to! And she's avoiding eye contact."

"Weird... Anyway, this is Andrea. She's new."

I smile at her. She just looks at me and rolls her eyes. What the heck is her problem? Is this what Ashley means by picking up a lie? Can she sense something bad about me? If it's that, then that's bad.

"I know her. Not a fan." She says, looking at me with a blank expression.

She walks closer to me and whispers in my ear. "I know what you are planning with Ashley. Don't even dare come close to Karma or there will be blood. She's not a toy for you to use. You mess with one of us, you get hurt by the rest of us." And just like that, she walks off.

I shook my head and started walking to my class.

When I got there, I took out my phone and sat down.

I think I just got threatened. - Andrea.

By who? And about what? - Ashley.

By Alexandra. I think someone overheard us talking about our plan yesterday. - Andrea.

Don't talk to them. If one of them finds something out, they tell each other. Just aim for Karma. She isn't talking to any of them for some reason. But I don't care. Just befriend her. - Ashley.

Yea, yea. Whatevs. - Andrea.

I guess the plan is still on. I just need to be more careful now.

I don't know why, but I have a bad vibe about Alexandra.

So, if Karma isn't around, their anger gets the best of them. That means one wrong move and I'm dead.

I guess I need to wear better contacts around Alexandra. These aren't fooling her. This is going to be harder than I thought.
