Morning arrived with pale winter sunlight and a splitting headache. Evie woke slowly, disoriented. Her body ached everywhere. The borrowed clothes were twisted uncomfortably. And for one blissful moment, she couldn't remember why everything felt wrong. Then it crashed back. Werewolves. She sat up too fast, immediately regretting it as her ribs screamed protest.
