*Myra's POV*
I woke up earlier than normal just because I couldn't sleep any longer.
I didn't have chores because my parents had the boys do them last night. So, I decided to grab my heaphones, put on shorts and a sports bra, and go to the backyard.
My parents don't work Wednesdays or Thursdays so they were still in bed.
I walked out to the heavy bag and put my headphones in.
I hit shuffle. Remember The Name by Fort Minor came on.
I hit the bag for a while until I felt a hit back.
I took a headphone out and looked around the bag.
It was Mitch.
"Hi?" I said.
"Your dad called and said you were out here. But wouldnt talk to him last night."
I looked at my phone and saw that an hour had gone by.
"I didn't know he was awake." I said hitting the bag. He hit it back. We kept exchanging hits for a while.
"What's going on Myra?" he asked me.
"Nothing."
"Don't lie to me."
I didn't say anything.
"They only had them come out to fire you up."
"When I made it perfectly clear to all of them that I didn't want them out here."
"Sometimes to see people succeed, you have to break rules. We all want to see you do good Myra. And you have the potential to."
"Really?" I asked.
He laughed. "Ask my jaw."
"I'm sorry." I laugh.
"Eh, it's my job. Your dad was about to pay us 100 a session to train you but we weren't about to take anything from him."
"Really?"
"He believes in you Myra. He'd do anything to make sure you make it. Even if it means pissing you off in the process." he said. "Sometimes you just have to push yourself too. Find something that motivates you, and go. I'm pretty sure that thing isn't the music."
I looked at him. Then looked at the ring. I walked over to it, picked up the gloves, and got in. "Lets test it then."
He smiled and got in the ring. But first, he turned on the speaker.
"I'm gonna pick a song. We'll see how you react to it."
First song he played was Push It by Rick Ross. It got me pumped but not enough.
Next was Where the Hood At by DMX. It pushed me a little harder but not enough.
We tried 3 more songs before the boys came out with my dad.
"What are you guys doing out here at 6 AM?" Blake asked.
"Testing a theory." Mitch said. "It's good that you're out here! We're trying to see if her motivation is the music or the people around her."
They looked at eachother.
"One more song, alright? Now that they're out here, we'll know if it's the music or the people!"
One more song. He handed the remote to Blake. "Do the honors kid." Mitch laughed. "Make it a good one."
Beast By Rob Bailey and The Hustle Standard.
Mitch's head started bobbing and he put his hand up and the other out for me to touch glove.
I touched.
He and I went pound for pound. Throwing combinations, dancing around the ring, my dad and brothers cheering me on, but this was for fun.
He was right, it was the people who motivate me.
We stopped both out of breath and bending over.
He looked at me and laughed. "Guess we know what you really need now."
"I get it Mitch, you were right." I shook my head.
"You need to have these two out here Thursday when you train. And the other three."
"Oh s**t!"
I ran back in the house.
I got in my room and pulled my phone out of my bra.
D; still mad at me?
D; my come on
D; seriously?
D; why is Mitch there? I woke up and my mom said he was there.
D; are you f*****g kidding me. Myra answer me.
D; fine. I'm coming over since you wont text me back.
D; be there in 15.
Just then I got a text
D; I'm pulling in the driveway!
I've got to get ready.
I knew he'd go talk to the boys first so I jumped in the shower.
One of the boys will come get me when he's here anyway.
*Drake's POV*
I woke up expecting a text from Myra but nothing.
So I got dressed super quick to see if she would send one.
I sent her 5 texts before I told my mom I was leaving
I texted her that I would be there in 15 then when I pulled in the driveway.
I knocked on the door. "Oh goodmorning honey!" Sheila said hugging me. "Your brothers in the back with the boys!"
"Thanks sheila! It smells great in here!" I hugged her back.
"I made omelettes for everyone! Would you like one?" She asked.
"Absolutely!" I said walking through the kitchen passing by Bruce.
"Good morning kid!" he said to me throwing a hand up.
"Good morning!" i said walking out the door.
I got outside and threw my hands in the air. "What the hell Mitch." I said walking over to them.
"What?" He asked me.
"Mom said you left at like 5:15 this morning?"
"Oh yeah. Bruce called me and said Myra was out here and wasn't talking to him becauase of their fight last night."
"Wait a second." I said looking at Blake and Micha. "Fight?"
"Yeah, they made my mom cry." Micha said.
"Because we came out here?" I asked
"Part of it." Blake said.
"So where is she now?" I asked.
"She yelled oh s**t and ran inside." Mitchsaid. "And you're welcome."
"For what?"
"You'll see" he laughed.
We all walked inside. The three of them sat down at the table and I walked up to Myra's room.
I knocked.
"Come in!" She yelled from behind the door.
I walked in and she was in front of her closet in a pair of black lacey underwear that came just above the bottom of her buttcheeks, and a bra to match.
"OH!" I automatically closed the door so it was only cracked.
"Oh god I thought you were Blake or Micha!"
"Now why would it be ok for your brothers to see you in your underware dork?" I asked her.
"Well, I was born with one of them so. But you can come in now."
I walked in and she was in a silky black robe rubbing a towel through her hair. I hadnt really seen her completely barefaced before so it was a nice change to see her completely natural.
"What?" she asked.
I just now noticed just how hard I was staring at her.
"You're doing that lip thing again."
I apparently was biting my lip too.
"You're-" I stopped for a minute with her just looking at me. "You're beautiful."
She smiled then went back to her closet. "Why are you here Drake?"
"You got in to a fight with your dad last night?" I asked.
"Damn it Blake."
"Not Blake, Mitch."
She turned her head to look at me.
"We're fine now."
"You and your dad? Or you and I?" I asked
"My dad."
"and me?"
"I made it perfectly clear that I didn't want you out there."
"Your dad called me out there, what was I supposed to do? Not listen?"
"I'm your girlfriend, not him."
"Yeah, but without him you wouldnt be my girlfriend. And I'm sorry, but I'd much rather face you than your dad. I know you're the one that said yes to be my girlfriend, but he's the one allowing me to date you. So yeah, I'm going to do what he tells me, regardless of how pissed off you get." I yelled.
She turned around and crossed her arms.
"He's looking out for you Myra! He wants you to be successful and if he thinks me being out there with your brothers is going to help you that's what I'm going to do!" she started to walk toward me. "And I'm sorry if that makes you mad, but I want you to be the best you can be! So you can be mad at me! But I'm going to be right here regarldess of how mad you are!"
She grabbed the back of my neck and kissed me. My arms that were thrown in the air were now on her waist and her arms were now wrapped around my shoulders.
She let go of the kiss and looked at me. "Just keep being here."
I smiled. "Always."
"Good, because Mitch said you, Cooper and Jordan need to be here Thursday for my session."
"Really?" I asked.
"He has a theory."
"I like his theory then. I loved seeing you in that ring last night. You were like, like a" i had to think of a word. "A butterfly."
"A boxing butterfly?"
"You were floating around the ring so effortlessly. But agressive at the same time." I thought for a minute. "Now I get it."
"Get what?" she asked.
"Float like a butterfly sting like a bee!" i laughed.
"Alright get out!" She laughed pointing toward the door.
"One more kiss and I will."
She gave me a quick kiss and I left.
I walked down to the kitchen and everyone was staring.
I sat down.
"Two things." Bruce said pointing at me. "One." he held up one finger. "Don't yell at my daughter anymore."
I gulped.
"Two." He held up another finger. "Thank you."
"For what?" I asked.
"Being the boyfriend he expects you to be bud." Mitch said throwing his arm over me.
"She deserved that from me." I said shaking my head.
"I ever find out you hit my daughter I'll kill you with my bare hands."
"Do you own a shovel too?" I asked laughing.
We all laughed. "You already have spent way to much time with Todd and Joe." Sheila said handing me a plate.
*Myra's POV*
I decided to just leave my hair go today, threw on a pair of jean shorts, a black t-shirt with the band The Summer Set on it, a red unbottoned flannel, and a pair of black converse and headed downstairs.
Mitch was still here and he and Drake were eating breakfast.
I looked at the shaker on the counter.
"Ahh, not again with the Kale and Carrots." i rolled my eyes.
"Oh relax." my dad threw his hands in the air. "Your mom made this one. She said I'm not allowed to make them anymore."
I walked over and hugged my dad. "Good, because the ones you make taste like sour grass!"
"They do not!" he yelled.
"Yes they do." my brothers and mom all said at the same time.
"I give up." he threw his hands in the air.
Mitch and Drake laughed.
"Why don't you give the jeep a break and ride with me today My?" Drake asked.
"I--" my dad cut me off.
"Good Idea Drake." he said "I need to check a few things in it and put on new tires."
"So I guess you have to ride with me." He laughed and stood up. "We just have to go get Jordan and Cooper first."
"Alright." I said grabbing my bag and books.
"I don't think so. " he said looking at me and pointing at my books. "Give me them."
"Drake, I can carry my own books."
"I know you can, but I'm not letting you." He said taking them from my hands.
"Awe how sweet." Micha laughed.
"Uhm excuse me, It seems like you can take some lessons Micha Harold." my mom said pointing to him with her fork.
I let out a laugh and so did Drake.
"Whats funny?" he said looking at us.
Drake lost it. "HAROLD." he said bending over then stood up.
"Yeah, alright boo bear." Micha yelled as we were walking down the hall.
"Still not as bad as Harold." Drake yelled back laughing.
We got in the truck and he set my books on the center consul.
"You know what I just realized?" I asked.
"What?"
"I've never been in your truck before. The boys normally pick you up or you ride with Riken."
"That's because I just got it back."
"Why did you get it taken?"
"I failed math last year so my mom and Johnny took it for the summer."
"Drake Adams, you did not fail math."
"It's my worst subject."
"Not anymore. You have it with me." I smiled.
He set his hand on my thigh. "You'd really help me with math?"
"Well, why wouldnt I?" I asked.
"I've just never had someone willing to help me that wasn't trying to sleep with me." My face went straight. "Myra, I'm kidding."
I stayed silent, remembering what Riken told me on our fake date.
"Myra." I heard him say. "What's on your mind?"
"My date with Riken. Well, fake date."
"You're in the car with me, talking about math, and you're thinking about my bother?"
"How many people have you slept with?"
*Drake's POV*
"How many people have you slept with?" she asked me.
What in the hell?
"You know what, never mind." She said moving her leg away from my hand.
"What did he tell you?" I asked.
"That you've been with three times the ammount that he has."
"Which was?"
"He said he's only been with three girls. Which puts you at 9."
I laughed. "Myra, it's the other way around. I've only actually been with 2 people, and Riken, about 10 times that amount."
"What do you mean by actually?" She asked me.
"Ive only fully had s*x with two girls."
"Oh.." she looked down. "And how many have you done other stuff with?"
My heart sunk but I'm not about to show that.
"10, including the two."
She got silent.
"Why, how many have you done other things with."
She still stayed silent.
"Myra?"
"One." she said looking out the window.
I pulled over on the side of the road.
"What the hell are you doing?" she yelled.
"Look at me."
She did.
"My, I dont expect you to do anything you're not comfortable with, or not ready for." I said grabbing her hand.
"It's the expectations." She looked back towards the window.
"Now stop doing that." I took her shoulders and made her turn around and stay turned around. I lifted her chin with my fingers to make her look at me. "If I've learned anything in the past 2, almost 3 weeks, its to expect the unexpected when it comes to you."
"How so?"
"I never expected to get a girlfriend this year. I never expected to have a girlfriend who checked my ego, or be so independant, or stick up for herself along with others. What you did for cheyenne yesterday was incredible."
She smiled. "Keep going."
I smiled back. "I never expected to meet anyone like you. You're fiery, and feisty, and beautiful. You're brilliant, and tough. I never expected to catch feelings for anyone in a matter of a few days."
She smiled again.
"Your pace Myra. No expectations."
She gave me a quick kiss. "Lets get the boys."
