Lana's POV
My excitement at finally getting away from the castle was overflowing, and I was practically pacing back and forth as I waited for Gabbi. She had assured me that Mark, their parents, Nik and anyone who would be paying too much attention to where we were would be locked up in a meeting until at least dinner time, so we had a couple of hours left in the afternoon where we could go explore some of the pack's territories.
And since it was daytime, we shouldn't be at any risk from vampires, even in the wooded areas.
Gabbi finally appeared from out of one of the castle's many hallways and we gave each other a quick hug.
"Ready?"
"Oh my god Gabbi, you know I've been waiting all day for this! Let's go!"
