Marks POV
The feeling of having Lana here beside me, with my family and friends, and actually one of them was incredible. My perception of the mate bond had always been strong, even when she was human - but now it felt alive, humming with energy. She was one of the pack now too. Even if she hadn't tried to mindlink anyone yet, I could feel her presence there in the pack consciousness, part of my mind and always with me. It was extremely comforting after all the times I'd already been terrified for her safety.
Watching everyone interact around some good food filled me with nothing but happiness and contentment, and I didn't think it could get any better than this.
But now we can mark her! Abel chimed in enthusiastically in my mind.
