It was hard for me to get some sleep, but in Jay's arms, life seemed quiet, peaceful, and safe. My mind kept reeling with thoughts about who my family might be. Would they be happy to find me? Jay assured me they never stopped searching, but that doesn't diminish the feeling I have held for years. My entire life, I have felt unwanted and abandoned.
