We had gathered the cavalry. I don't care what it takes; we will clean Jay's name and mine. I will die trying, he doesn't deserve all this s**t. He is a hardworking man with a privileged life but with a heart of gold. He is simultaneously flawed and amazing, and he deserves every bit of happiness in life.
The following day, I left the Penthouse and headed towards the Nut House; as usual, Jay went to the arena to train. I wondered why he would stick to his severe regime when suspended, but he told me that it would take double the effort to get back in shape if he suspended his training rather than keep doing it even when he was not going to play this weekend's game.
It made sense, but I wished he would decide, just once, to slack off and stay in bed with me a little longer
