Angel

I woke up still in his arms, with something poking my hip. I didn't dare turn around as I knew what it was. But I, being terribly unexperienced, was not ready for this conversation with him. So I slowly crawled out of his arms while replacing myself with a pillow so I didn't wake him. Then I snuck out the door and ran for Skylar's cabin. The clamp was still up so it was easy to get back to my ship. I went to go open her door when I heard noises inside, so I decided to go to the galley instead. About a half hour later, Skylar entered the room. Her face seemed to be glowing. "What port are we headed to for the celebration?" Skylar asked. "Port Keys" I responded. Skylar nodded her head and headed up to the wheelhouse.

I finished my food and went to the deck to take down the clamp. Seth was already there taking it down. "How are you going to get back to yours without it?" I asked. He simply smiled, kissed my cheek and put his hand up. A moment later, a rope that had been tossed from his ship landed in his hand. He grabbed it, climbed up on the railing, tucked his legs in and jumped. He swung back to his ship and landed with ease.

We set off for the port with excitement because it was the first time we were going to celebrate instead of going to see my parents. It was decided the last time we saw them that we would find a new tradition. My parents would always bring stuff to their island so that they would never need to go back to the homeland. They were set, from medicine to all sorts of food they would never need to travel. They even built me a house for when I stopped, but I'm getting off topic.

After a week and three days of traveling, we arrived at port. We clamped the ships so we only took up one space. With Seth's ship being the closest one to port meant that Jen would be able to join in the celebrations. She chose to hang out with Grey, who is the watchdog for the Ghost. It was so warm at the port they could only imagine what this vacation would entail. Some of the crew opted to just camp on the beach near the ships. Angel, Skylar, Rex, and Seth went into town to get supplies for the surprise party they were planning. They split up to cover more ground. Skylar and Rex went north while Angel and Seth went south.

It only took Angel and Seth an hour before they found everything they were looking for and headed back. When they got to the field they were going to be camping, and most of everything was set up. They found out that Skylar and Rex had finished early and went off on their own.

Seth

I can only guess what Rex has planned for Skylar. He has liked her for years. Rex used to get out of the meetings because he wasn't old enough. I, however, had to be there every time. I had to work and was always told that they wouldn't tolerate a leader that didn't get to. I got the rest of the party set up and Angel looked so happy. We decided not to sit around to wait for everyone to show up. We kicked off the party and some were cooking and the rest were already eating. I found Angel sitting apart from the group on a nest that we made earlier from hay bales and blankets. She looked so adorable lounging around and I could completely get used to this.

"Hey, mind if I sit with you?" I asked. She giggled and responded "Well you did make a great deal of it, so please do or I will feel guilty". I sat so close to her I could feel the warmth of her leg. Yes, I did that on purpose. I knew it was going to get cold and I hid some blankets behind the little nest, so the minute she relaxes I will cuddle up to her and hopefully she won't mind that I planned all this.

We talked for hours when she finally stretched and I grabbed the blankets. She smiled at me and for a minute I was glad we were lying down. I almost melted from how adorable she is. I leaned in a little bit, waiting for permission for her, and she leaned in a little bit too. I closed the gap and kissed her passionately. I took my time running my hand up from her elbow to her neck and cupped the side of her face so that I could deepen the kiss. My other hand slid under her shirt and rested on her hip. I tried to pull her into me so that she could be more comfortable, but it made the position awkward. After a few minutes, we changed positions so that she was sitting on my lap. As we started to get into it again, we were interrupted by Rex and Skylar.

"Zipper needs medical attention." Rex reported to me. "Shit." I internally panicked. I stood up while Angel was still on me and her eyes went wide. I placed her on the ground in front of me and kissed her forehead. I then took off running after Rex. When we got to where Zipper was, the doctors were sitting with him asking him questions about family history. The police that had responded pulled me aside and informed me that, because I had saved the King, that we were welcome here as long as we don't make them a victim and that Skullfully yours was also welcome as we are a fleet. I thanked him, gripped his arm for a handshake, and nodded. I went back over to Zipper and asked how he was doing. "Just a small heart attack, nothing I can't handle." Zipper looked worn out but still had a good color on his face. I helped him up and Patches was sobbing so I put him in her arms and I backed up.They hugged and went to find a bench when she left to find him soup. I walked back to the field where I had left Angel.

She was asleep in the nest covered by the blankets I had left her.The wine I had poured her was gone as well as the snacks I left her. I didn't realize I had left for so long. I pulled my shoes off and lied down next to her. I pulled her into me and she sighed in her sleep. I leaned forward and took in her smell. She smelled like cherries and vanilla. It must be her soap. I can't wait until I can smell it all the time. It's going to take a while to earn her trust. It took no time at all to just drift into a deep sleep. I actually had a dream about Angel and all the fun we were planning today. I can't believe she has no filter in this dream. Maybe when I wake up we can talk about having them come true.
