Meeting Him Again

Ch 1: Meeting him again

"Maxi, someone has come to meet you at your house. Your son called me on my mobile. Is your mobile dead again? Go home and see the guests." Maxi's friend Padma came to her shop and told him,

"Yeah, my mobile is dead again. By the way, who has come to meet me? Did my son tell you something about the guest?" Maxi looked down at her dead mobile and asked her friend.

"He said two rich men come there looking for you. They told him that they were in a hurry because they had to catch a plane soon. But before that, they want to meet you. I feel Suhas sounds scared of them, so I come here to tell you. You can go take a look at who they are. I'll inform your boss. And give that shitty mobile to me. I'll give this to my boyfriend, he will repair this for you." Padma snatched the mobile and pushed Maxi out of the shop.

"Ok, I'll come back soon," Maxi said as she wearing her broken sandals.

"Of course, I'll wait for you here. You have to tell me about your guest and exciting story." Padma chuckles playfully.

"Okay. I'll be leaving now." Maxi waved her hand to Padma and started walking towards her house path.

Maxi lived a two-street away from her shop. Her house is in a busy poor township of the city. This house belongs to her mother. There is only Maxi, her old mother living in that house with Maxi's two kids. Maxi's mother worked as a housemaid. Maxi's life is not so good and not so bad. Due to financial constraints, Maxi and her mother have to work day and night. But still, she feels relief when she sees her small family still with her. She earns enough to spend on her kids and their school studies.

"Hey, who's the f*ck park this car here in the middle of the Alley? How can people walk to the other side alley?" said the middle-aged man as hit his walking stick on the car's bonnet.

"Hey, old man! Get the hell away from my car. If I find out a little scratch I'll wipe your skinny a*s." Car's driver growled at the old man and he bent down at the place where the old man hit his stick. An old man walks away as he sees the driver's aggressive nature.

That time Maxi's eyes saw a BMW car parked in front of the alley where her house is located. Seeing that familiar car again, Maxi started feeling scared. She had seen that car two or three times in her life.

When she saw this car for the first time a middle-aged man was coming to her house claiming that he was Maxi's grandfather meaning her father's father. He came all of a sudden and took Maxi with him, making some excuses.

Maxi was happy to meet her father. Her mother never told her that her father was alive and staying in another country with his second wife. Maxi was happy to meet her grandfather and father. But soon her happiness turned to sorrow when her grandfather got her married to the richest man in that country. He wanted Maxi to live a better life than her poor condition. He arranges for her to be his friend's grandson who is a richer man in that country.

He thought only that man could give her a better life. Maxi didn't want to marry without love. But in front of her grandfather's stubbornness, Maxi got married to that rich man who never saw her properly on her wedding day.

Her marriage didn't last less than one year. Her husband divorced her as soon as Maxi gave both to a baby girl. This unspoken rule that his grandfather put on him will get all the companies in his hands. If he handed a great-grandchild to them, but before his child was born he took all company in his hand and applied for divorce.

He neither saw his daughter nor did he want to see her. Because he thought that she cheated on her and the baby girl with someone else. After marriage, he stayed with Maxi only for two nights because someone had given him drugs. As a result, Maxi's daughter was born. But her husband didn't trust that the baby girl was his daughter.

Maxi was already used to her husband's rude behavior. He never comes home, and never appears in front of her. Just used to send his assistant to check whether she was dead or not. Same Maxi never tried to know why her husband was so rude and cold towards her. But she came to know on the day of marriage itself that her husband never wanted to marry her. He arranged this marriage only for his grandfather Joe, who was a good friend of Maxi's grandfather. It was done under his pressure. His grandfather sets a condition that if he marries Maxi, he will get his share of the company and all the properties and the position of CEO.

When Maxi came to know about this reason, she thought it better not to try to get her husband's love. Anyway, she was not happy with this dead marriage. She wanted to be free from that golden cage so that she could live the life she wanted. In that meaningless marriage, she always pretended to be a good wife by living in that big house. The house was bought by her husband because his mother-in-law did not like a poor woman like Maxi to be the wife of her richest son. He told Maxi that his son had married her under pressure. He keeps unattractive and poor girls like Maxi away from him.

Her husband divorced her as soon as he got his CEO position he divorced Maxi. After the divorce, Maxi returned to her country. The car that had taken Maxi away from his home the first time it came there. The same car returned and dropped her in this colony along with her five-month-old daughter.

It was hidden from her husband that one day he came home after drinking excessively and he took advantage of Maxi who was sleeping at that time. And because of that night, Maxi became pregnant. Her mother-in-law had hidden everything. Her husband did not even know about the child.

Seven years later, seeing the same car in front of her once again, all the memories hidden in her heart started coming back. She doesn't want to know who has come to set fire to her life this time. But this time she would not tolerate anyone in her life.

"Madam, Maxi…." Driver bowed to him.

His voice made Maxi come out of her thoughts. She gave a small smile to Driver and quickly entered the alley of her house. But with her broken sandals, she was not able to walk as fast as she wanted to. Still, she somehow reached outside her house door.

But as she looked outside her house, a crowd of people was seen who were trying to peek inside her house. This is what happens when a rich man comes to a poor colony.

"You guys don't have any work other than peeking into other people's houses?" Maxi said in a loud angry voice.

Hearing this, everyone ran to their homes in a hurry. They know Maxi is not a woman you can argue with.

Maxi stopped at the door of her house, took out her broken sandal outside, and went inside barefoot. Her first sight went to her small living room.

The living room was not very big, it was only for four people who could only stand in that small space. In the same living room, in the name of furniture, there were two chairs and a big table on which a small TV was placed which was quite old. Adjacent to the living room, two steps away, a cement platform was made in the name of the kitchen, on which an old-fashioned stove was placed. Maxi did not have that much income, she used to buy good furniture and a stove. More than she likes to stay simple.
