      The afternoon air feels colder than normal. Maybe it’s not, but it stings my legs none the less. It’s the last day of the year, and I’m spending it going to talk to Frank. I didn’t know what to say to his text at first, but I ended up agreeing to meet him today. Honestly, I was trying to push it off, so he’d let it go, but he didn’t. The walk feels longer than I remember. As soon as I step into the path of the building, I feel the air leave my lungs.
