  Up in the dining hall, crowds filled the lines of the multiple kitchen stalls, waiting for their turn to grab a meal. Folks socialized with their acquainted folks, and wielders were practicing small skills -aside from the ones making havoc with others just for a good laugh. There was a boy playing with fire, moving a single flame from one finger to the others and back. There was a girl blowing breeze at her friend, making her hair drift subtly behind her neck while she took a picture of herself. There was a little boy snapping his fingers and making his peers dance. I didn't know how old he was, but I saw that as incredibly impressive.  And then, there was me.
