Back in my room, I felt my mind was in a daze.
Thinking about what I did earlier in Michael Liu's room made me feel even more ashamed.
How could I do such things on someone else's bed?
Even worse, I wet his bedsheets.
If Michael Liu found out, how could I face him in the future?
No, I had to secretly wash his bedsheets without leaving any traces.
I thought about it all night, tossing and turning until dawn.
As soon as I woke up, I wanted to take Michael Liu's bedsheets.
But when I left my room, I saw that Michael Liu was already up, washing at the water tap.
"Good morning, Emily Yang," he said, spitting out toothpaste and smiling at me.
For some reason, I remembered lying in his bed the previous night and felt a strange sensation in my chest.
I didn't dare to say much to him and quickly went to work.
All day, I was distracted, constantly thinking about washing Michael Liu's bedsheets.
That day, there was a lot of work to do, loading and unloading several batches of goods.
We worked overtime until about 7 p.m., and Ms. Wang, the warehouse supervisor, wouldn't let us leave.
I was getting more anxious because I needed to handle something if I didn't want to overflow again.
Just then, someone came to collect goods.
Gathering my courage, I asked Ms. Wang if I could leave work a little early.
She looked me up and down, especially at my chest, which was straining against my work uniform.
She handed me a file with some documents inside.
"You can deliver these documents to Mr. Dong's office right now, and then you can go back to your dormitory and rest."
I hesitated because usually, new warehouse managers like me weren't allowed to do this.
"Ms. Wang, isn't it too late for Mr. Dong to still be working?"
Ms. Wang seemed impatient, frowning at me.
"I told you to go, so just go. Don't ask so many questions. Can't leaders work overtime too?"
Feeling nervous, I didn't dare to ask further and walked to Mr. Dong's office, thinking about Ms. Wang's strange behavior.
She had looked at my chest with more excitement than any man.
Curiosity got the better of me, and I opened the file to see what was inside.
To my surprise, the documents were filled with English text that wasn't ordinary product names.
Although I hadn't read many books, I could tell they were related to exports to foreign countries.
Perhaps Ms. Wang never expected a ordinary factory worker like me to understand English, which is why she felt confident in sending me to deliver the documents.
I became more curious about what our factory was selling.
I remembered a small warehouse near the main one that we were never allowed to enter. Ms. Wang had warned us several times that entering without permission would result in being fired.
Could it be related to this?
I arrived at Mr. Dong's office and knocked on the door.
Inside, there was only a chubby man who turned out to be Mr. Dong himself.
I handed him the documents.
"Mr. Dong, here are the inventory lists."
He took the documents and looked at me with what seemed like an ill intention.
"New here? Want to work in the office?"
I was startled and stammered a bit.
"Mr. Dong, I...I haven't thought about it. I'm happy working in the warehouse."
Peter Dong smiled at me, reaching out to grab my hand.
I was scared and quickly pulled my hand away.
"Little girl, you're so shy. Let me tell you, if you follow me, I'll make sure you get plenty of benefits."
As he said this, he tried to unbutton my clothes, his hand reaching for my chest.
I started feeling the urge to overflow and smelled a faint aroma in the air.
Peter Dong became even more excited.
"Oh, looks like you're young but have had a child before. I like that."
I was desperate and tried to escape his grasp.
"Let go of me! What do you think you're doing? I'll scream if you don't stop!"
"Stop? I've decided I want you, and it'll be your honor!"
"You scream all you want. This entire factory belongs to me, and no one will come even if you scream your lungs out."
Peter Dong pushed me onto the sofa and tore off my clothes....
Peter Dong, a fat man, was groping Emily Yang's breast and trying to bite her. Emily bit his shoulder in self-defense, causing him to scream in pain. He threatened her, saying he always gets what he wants and tried to force himself on her. Just then, there was a knock on the door. It was Michael Liu, who urgently needed to speak with Peter Dong about a problem with a shipment.
Peter Dong reluctantly let go of Emily to deal with Michael Liu. Emily took this opportunity to escape. She overheard Michael Liu assuring Peter Dong that he would personally oversee the shipment to ensure everything was perfect. Emily ran back to her dormitory, feeling grateful for Michael Liu's timely intervention.
Emily decided to thank Michael Liu by giving him some milk she had prepared. When she went to deliver it, she noticed Michael Liu was still wearing the shirt he had on the previous night, which had her stains on it. Michael Liu refused to let her wash it, saying it smelled good and helped him sleep well. Emily was embarrassed but insisted on washing it.
Just then, Mr. Zhao, the factory's security guard, appeared and teased Michael Liu about having a woman. Michael Liu quickly put his shirt back on and asked Mr. Zhao why he was there. Mr. Zhao said he was just coming to drink with Michael Liu, but then noticed the milk and made a comment about it smelling like milk powder.
Michael Liu quickly drank the milk to prevent Mr. Zhao from tasting it and then asked him what he really wanted. Mr. Zhao asked if Michael Liu liked Emily. Michael Liu denied it, saying they were just neighbors and he sometimes helped her out. Mr. Zhao mentioned that everyone knew Peter Dong was a bad guy who often harassed women.
Emily, who had been eavesdropping, realized that Ms. Wang had sent her to Peter Dong to curry favor with him. Michael Liu assured Mr. Zhao that he wasn't afraid of Peter Dong because they needed him right now. Mr. Zhao warned Michael Liu not to let a woman mess up their plans, hinting that they wouldn't be at the factory much longer.
Michael Liu again denied having any romantic feelings for Emily, but his denial sounded insincere. Emily felt warm inside, knowing Michael Liu was a good man who had helped her. She wondered why Mr. Zhao said they wouldn't be at the factory much longer and what the important shipment was that Michael Liu had to oversee.
