A dance floor! That was how we were to spend our last normal minutes. Who would’ve thought that, no more than a few hours later, we would be running for our lives? A big, loud noise in the dark of the night, that is how it all began. A noise, kind of like an explosion, that caught everyone’s attention. We all froze, the music stopped.
People started staring at each other in fear of what that noise signified. It was only after a few minutes that we started hearing screams and smelling burning buildings. A dark smoke rose up in the sky. We ran to the edge of the balcony on which we were standing, only to witness the horror happening beneath us. Buildings on fire, groups of people with covered faces and guns shooting randomly into the crowd, people dying at every crossroads!
