Chapter 2

Amber POV

My eyes almost pulped out of its sockets, this wasn't the Janet i knew, the loving sister who always stick to me, how could she choose to betray me.

While i was still trying to disgust the bombshell, another was thrown at me, my Sister shoved an Ipad to my face, on the screen, all the passions of last night were recorded, the face of the man wasn't visible but mine was clear, my face was as clear as, it was as if the camera was deliberately targeted at me.

Upon a careful look at the back of the man, it dawned on me that he was not Lucas, he had broad shoulders, i turned to the entire people present and they all looked at me with hatred, i knew explaining myself would be a waste of time, no one would believe me, but i still tried.

"I swear on my late Grandmother grave, i thought it was Lucas...he texted me and i was drunked...the man...he answered when i called him Lucas...please believe me..it wasn't my intention to cheat.."

"Oh please.. Stop your crocodile tears Amber, its over, no one would believe your load if crap!!" Janet harsh voice cut me off, the tears on my eyes flowed freely.

"Sign the Divorce papers now!" Lucas hallowed and i shake my head repeatedly, i won't divorce, i can't divorce him, no, i can't.

Janet suddenly walked towards me and bent to my level, my hair was messy and my makeup ruined, i looked like a dishelved homeless woman but i didn't care. Janet placed the Ipad before my Face.

"I will end up pushing this button if you don't sign the damn papers, you want the whole world to see your bed room videos with your secret lover?"

My body shook, the threat kind of worked, i had an image to protect, as the CEO of Leno group, i can't let this be linked outside, it would affect the company image and even affect the stock price.

I stood up slowly, took the pen from her and sign the papers at all places requiring signatures, i didn't even read through the documents, which was the beginning of my misfortune.

With my vision blurry and my eyes brimming with tears, i turned to Lucas with a pleading gaze.

"I didn't cheat on you Lucas, why won't you believe me...this must be a set up, please don't do this to me." I begged, i didn't care about my self - esteem, i just want Lucas to believe me.

To my shock, Lucas sneered and walked closer to me, he stopped few meters at my face and looked at me with disgust and full hatred in his eyes.

"You are a shameless Slut Amber, even the hickeys all over your body could prove my point alone, what's the use denying it, you disgust me."

Lucas mean words broke my heart into a thousand pieces, the worst of it all was the smirk on Janet face, she walked up to Lucas and in my presence grabbed his face and kissed him passionately.

That was when it hit me, Lucas has been cheating on me with my sister behind my back, all this while, i taught he has been very busy with the company's affairs, not knowing that he was jerking off with my Biological Twin sister, my legs gave way and i fell to tbe ground.

Tears streamed down my face while Janet laughs at my fall, i wiped my tears slowly, walked up to her and raised my hand to slap her when my hand was suddenly stuck in mid air.

I looked to my right, Lucas hand held me tightly, almost breaking my bones, i whimpered in pain.

"Let me go Lucas, you are hurting me." I pleaded, but his eyes held no emotions as he squeezed my hands more tightly, making me scream in pains.

He forcefully pushed me to the floor and i fell to the floor, hitting my forehead on the side table, blood gushed out of my skull. My In-laws sat with cross-legged as they watched all this unfold.

"Don't you ever dare lay your filthy hands on my wife again, if you are tired of life, find another way to end your life." Lucas shouted, Meanwhile, Janet whimpered in pains and Lucas quickly rushed to her side, looking at her affectionately.

"Are you hurt? Did she touch you?" Lucas was really meticulous and checked all parts of her body, i chuckled bitterly, he had never paid that much attention to him ever since we got married three years ago, i was the only one putting all the efforts.

I helped myself up and slowly, my eyes turned resolute. "I've signed the divorce papers, from now onwards, we have nothing to do with each other, take out your things and leave my house" I spoke each words concisely, looking straight into their eyes.

Janet suddenly burst into a feat of laughter, she mockingly held her breath and looked at me as if she was staring at a fool, Even Lucas chuckled lightly, finding whatever it is Janet is laughing at Funny.

"You really own some guts you slut, you think Me and my husband would leave our matrimonial home for you?" Janet scowled with deep hatred oozing from her, i began to question myself on how her hatred came about and when it started.

"Honey, you really didn't know what you got yourself into, did you? You've signed away your right to the company and what ever father owns."

"What are you talking about? I didn't sign anything or make any transfer of rights...am telling you now."

I was still thinking what was going on when the lawyer who has been silent the entire time walked up to me, held the divorce papers and turned from page to page, he paused at a particular page and handed the papers to him, showing me a clause in it.

*The Wife agrees to Transfer all rights To Leno group to her Husband Lucas Griffin, she agrees to leaving all properties in her name to her husband, even the mansion they currently share.*

The more i read the note the more my eyes widened, this wasn't possible, was it, was i dreaming, no, it can't be, i worked hard to inherit the Leno group which was at the brink of bankruptcy then, i worked hard to develop the company and now it was gone.

"This is wrong, i don't agree to this, its absurd and illegal, right?" I turned to the lawyer at the last sentence, my eyes red with anger.

"Am afraid Miss, but you clearly signed it, no matter how absurd it is, its very clear you signed with your signature." The lawyer said indifferently before arranging his suitcase and leaving. Lucas parents and sister followed suit, each with a triumphant smirk plastered on their faces.

"What are you still doing here, get your cheap body out of my property this instant." Lucas shouted and my skin tangled, was this the man i had always loved? He didn't hesitate to render me homeless and helpless at the same time, but i was not gonna let it happen, i wanted to make him believe i didn't mean to cheat.

"Am not leaving, this house belongs to me, you can't take it away from me.."

"Ohh..we will see about that, Guards!!" Lucas shouted towards the entrance and new guards I've never seen before stepped inside the mansion.

"Drag her out of her, i don't want to see her step her feet into my Mansion again, am i clear."

"Yes Sir."

The guards nodded and proceeded to grab me, i tried to fight back with all my might but i was no match for them, their grip was strong on my shoulders.

They dragged me outside and threw me out the gate, i stood up and banged tirelessly on the gigantic gate of the mansion.
