I was taken aback by Xavier's outburst. My heart stopped, but my head was confused. Did he just call me his?
"What do you mean?" I asked hesitantly between all three of them.
"Ummm ... " Xavier rubbed his neck and looked away. "You are my mate."
It was a soft whisper, but I still heard it. I gasped.
"Surprise." Alyssa grinned.
"You knew?" I asked her confused.
"Not until you fell asleep. I caught him staring at you with stars in his eyes." She giggled, teasing us.
"Oh, like how you stare at Alaric when he's not looking?" I teased her back.
"Anna!" She whined getting up off the ground.
"I knew it!" Alaric shouted excitedly, jumping up too.
I just rolled my eyes and laughed with Xavier. Alyssa walked away with Alaric hot on her heels teasing her.
