Elena took a deep breath, considering his words. “I want that too. But it is going to take time and trust. We need to be honest with each other and communicate openly if we are going to make this work.”
Daniel reached across the table and took her hand. “I am willing to do whatever it takes. I want us to succeed, both in this merger and in whatever comes after.”
