" I'll be going back to the city, take care of them while I'm gone" Dad called me on Sunday morning. I had stayed up all night thinking about the big threat ahead which was indirectly caused by my actions of kicking out the former alpha's family.
" Okay" I grumbled tiredly
" Are you okay?.. Kate said you slept at a friend's place" dad asked worriedly
" I'm fine, just a bit tired" I replied
" Okay, call if anything's up this time, I'll inform you if I arrive" he said then hung up.
I fell face down on my desk, sleepy. My phone rang again, I was going to hung up but I took it after one glance at the caller's ID.
" Hello honey" I groaned
" You seem tired….are you asleep this late in the morning?"
" I am tired. And I haven't slept " I replied
" What happened...why didn't you sleep?"
