I approached Kate who was sobbing silently beside a window of the room she always slept in when she comes over. She flinched when I held her shoulder , when she saw it was me ,she literally shrunk to her room's furthest corner. The way she looked at me now terrified me, she was now afraid of me, her face showed it all. She wiped her eyes then looked at me warily.
" I won't hurt you " I said silently taking a step closer
"... please don't come near me" Kate was on the verge of tearing up again. I sighed helplessly
" How long did you keep this secret from me..from mom and dad? Does your dad even know what... whatever you are?" she asked me after some hesitation
" This should remain a secret between the two of us until I decide the better time to tell them about it…." I replied hastily
