We searched as quickly as possible possible once the stench of decay hit my nostrils I knew for sure that they were truly gone. I fell to my knees sobbing unable to hold back the blazing pain any longer. William rushes to my side kneeling down pulling me into his embrace stroking my hair with his right hand while gently speaking soothing words to me rocking us forwards than backwards at a steady rhythm. His voice sounds almost angelic compared to my uncontrollable welling “Ssshhhhh I’m here sweetie... your not alone..... they’re at peace now and someday I’m sure you’ll see them again.” After several minutes of me morning my parents and William soothing me I stifle my sorrow forcing myself to refocus on our task at hand. I look up to William’s face expressing a small smile “Thank you.” I winced at the sound of my horse voice. William pulls away from me raising to his feet lowering his right hand shift to face taking his hand he helps me rise to my feet. I wipe the remaining stray tears sliding down my cheeks freezing the second my eyes catch something that glints in the light. I narrowed my eyes walking by William stopping at the massive table I kneel than crawl under it. I lightly wipe at the floor to uncover a medium sized silver looking ring. I crawl back out from underneath the table locking eyes with William tilting my head to the table as I spoke “Hey babe help me move this table...I think I may have found something.” William nods stepping to one end while I step to the other. I raise an eye brow wondering how two people is going to actually move such a massive table til the moment William said something. My head immediately snaps up glaring daggers “Leighann would you hate me if I talked to other women?” I involuntarily tighten my grip on the wooden table seeing red as my nail lengthen digging into the table. I could also feel my teeth sharpening determined to unleash my rage I lift the table with ease tossing it to the side causing all the books on top of it to fly astray in the process. William slyly grins pointing to the arena I discovered “What if I said she was down there?”At this point logic didn’t register in my mind only my blood boiling with complete and utter rage. I feel my clothes tighten as my fur sprouts. I release a deafening roar bounding to the spot I discovered the silver like ring. With such intense power I yank at the ring causing it to snap off the slab and with a dangerous growl I force my nails into the crevices yanking up once more only for the slab to fly up this time exposing a wooden staircase with stone walls leading downward. I bound down the stairs with supernatural speed running on all fours ignoring William’s resonating feet hiring the wooden steps. Several minutes pass as determination flows through my veins along with my wolf craving blood from the woman our mate seems to be seeing. The the dusty air fills with my grunting huffing and low growls becoming further furious. My pace increases drastically the moment I reach the end of the stars bounding off them landing onto a now stone floor. At this point I feel like I’m in the backseat looking out. A threatening growl rumbles from my chest as a metal door emerges from the dark.
