The Breakthrough

I am lost no I mean I am literally lost. You told me to take this path and now I’m lost... hold on this isn’t real, think woman what’s my reality? At that moment I see a white wolf in a border of a forest. I’m losing my mind I’m actually seeing things. Leighann!!  I need you to come back to me please. “I know that voice.” “How do I know that voice?” Leighann please don’t leave me, I love you. Like that a unknown force beckons me to this white wolf as though it, no she is guiding me home. I cautiously ease closer to the white wolf filled with fear of the unknown. Once I am inches from this magnificent beast I knell to my knees captivated with her beauty. The white wolf bows her head as a sign of respect. I gaze confused then speak as though she can understand me. “Why do you bow to me?”, “I am just a mere human.” The white wolf glows with intense light I am unable to keep my eyes focused upon the wolf until the light fades away. I am left speechless as I blatantly stare at what seems to be a clone of myself.        My clone just smiles, then speaks “I am you yet I am also the wolf that appeared before you too for we are one.”, “You are no mere human nor have you ever been one, ends my answer to give respect is to also receive respect.” All I can do is imagine myself listening to a recording of myself even though it, she..... I am right. Oh come on this is too confusing. “Ok, self can you guide me to our reality?” She grabs my face and bellows. “search within your own eyes.” My voice is replaced with William’s pleading voice calling out for me. I see a flash of light before I can see him knelt before me holding my hand. His eyes are bloodshot with tears escaping to the ground. Leighann oh thank God your back I thought I lost you for good never scare me like that again, and like that his hands leaves my face to embrace me. At that moment I realize I’m not anywhere near eye level to William. The moons pears from the sky beckoning the beast whom has escaped from its hollow shell/cage. William bellows in pain as he releases his grasp on me. I can hear his bones breaking, and popping as his frame changes it’s human shape until there’s a dark wolf standing in front of me.                                                                            The ground on my paws Makes it were I can’t help but to enjoy the wind as I’m chasing William. The freedom as well as the joy being with him. The only twist is we are wolves fast ones at that. I stop by William at what seemed to be a trail. William’s voice invades my Thoughts with a warning “We don’t need to risk encountering humans, my dear.” “Ok. How long will we be like this, sweetie?”  He looks at me then answers “until morning, now let’s keep moving.” By the time the moon hit its apex we arrive at a cliff it resembles one from my dreams before all of this began. The sight is breathtaking even for it to be night out. “William this is gorgeous.” “Just like you leighann.” Hours pass with us enjoying life wishing the night wouldn’t end so soon.        I wake to my husband kissing me on the lips. “Good morning to you too.” “A good morning indeed leighann.” He creases my cheek just before kissing me once more. I savored the taste of his lips wishing for him to keep going. “We need to head to a safe house to get supplies.”  I stare at him you totally mean clothes leaving my thoughts as so. We stand to head out as a breeze hit me, and the scent of gunpowder fills my nose. I move as quickly as I possibly can to get William out of harms way. 1 the guns safety is disabled, 2 the gun is c****d, and three the a finger is placed on the trigger. Just before the trigger could be pulled I push William out of the way...BANG.  NNOOO!!! I blink as I look down to my ribs. My hand is covered with a warm red liquid the scent of blood brings me back. I look up to the marksman to see a young man. LEIGHANN!!!!! That was the last thing I heard as I fell unconscious. A fiery bun stays constant at my mind right rib as I feel myself waking from unconsciousness. I grab for my rib only to discover metal chains restraining me. I wince in pain from the smell of burning flesh. A mysterious figure steps out of a shadow from across the room. The woman speaks with such hatred. “It’s useless to fight the chains are made of silver just like that Bullet that’s still stuck in your ribs.” “which I guess you already figured that out since it is a werewolf’s Achilles heel.” I glare at the lady for a moment before demanding answers. “Where’s the man I was with?”, “What do you want.”, “What did I ever do to you?” Her voice came out ice cold in response.  “Isn’t it obvious?”, “No well I guess I will eradicate you and your kind, you abomination.” “Your in no position for demanding answers you b***h!!!!!!” She spun on her heels with such sudden force then disappeared without a trace. With each day I grew ever so closer towards deaths door. My body welcomes death with each passing day but my spirit refuses to back down.           Two years later I’m in and out of consciousness knowing I should have died a long time ago, so how am I still alive then? I notice the mysterious woman as she steps out of the shadows with frustration caked upon her face. “Still alive I see.” Anger boiling my blood as my shaky roars. “If you could of you would have killed me already!” A devious smile seeps across the woman’s face.  “we’ll just have to see about that won’t we?” I know my face must of been pretty pale as is from the past two years but I know it turned beyond ghost white as she takes another step closer into the light pulling a gun from her trench coat. You know how veterans or hostage survivors tell you at their pentacle point their lives flashed before them. Well that’s what happened to me at this moment when I realized this may be the end. My childhood up to this point flashes before my as like a film.                                                                                        Crying through the night scared of a thunder storm at the age of 4. Racing through the woods with my two older brothers at the age of 8. Watching my younger siblings playing in the mud and rain at the age of 12. My first kiss at 16. Falling in love at 20, then getting married at 22. I’m sorry William was the only thing I could say. 1: The safety is disabled 2: The index finger slides to a rest upon the trigger 3: The trigger is pulled...... BANG!!!!!!
