Angela’s POV
I glanced at him in shock. Is he kidding me? What is Mr grumpy saying.
“I have a conference I need to be in as I need to chase another contract. I will see you in a week's time” He said as he opened the door and walked out.
I blinked hard at the closed door. Is this….. What do I even say? Is this even a marriage? Imagine traveling on the day of your wedding? Who even does that.
I glanced at the room and stared in disbelief. Am I the only one who will sleep in this room?
Just then, my phone starts ringing. I glanced at the idea to see my mom calling. Oh. I picked it immediately.
“Angel wify” she gushed into the phone and I smiled lightly. My mum really knows how to get me.
“Muumm” I drawled as I picked at my button. I really miss home.
“How are you?” She asked.
“I'm fine mum” I said almost immediately. I don't want her to notice any form of inconvenience in my voice.
“I see, and how is Justin?” She asked and I rolled my eyes.
“He is fine mum”I said and she sighed.
“Alright, I will leave you guys to it then” she said and I almost scoffed. Leave ‘us’ indeed.
“Alright mum” I said and she ended the call. I sighed as I glanced at the large room. How on earth do I cope in this house?
✅Four days later
I look at myself in the mirror and smiled widely. I really look beautiful. I am going shopping with my girls and I am looking forward to it.
The past one week has been so hard for me as Justin has traveled. I am mostly sleeping or arranging the house. Justin ordered for a dozebs of new things as he is now a married man and I have to put my home in the right order. I am a married woman now too. I guess.
And to think he has not called me since the day he left. My husband indeed.
I entered the car and the driver drove out of the compound. I will be meeting my friends at Bonsors and we are going to shop till late evening.
The drive was smooth. Rihanna's we found love was playing in the background and I delicately vibe to the beats.
We were soon in the mart. I can see my girls as they sat on one of the lounge chairs outside under the designed coconut trees. They look so cute and beautiful in their outfits.
I walked over to their sides. They all jubilated and ululated as they saw me.
“The bride”! “Billionaire wify”! They all said as I sat on one of the chairs after hugging them. My close friends circle is not more than five, me included.
We filed into the mall immediately to get what we wanted.
“So tell me Angela, how was the deed” Sonia said as she winked at me and I found myself blushing and the rest of them returned smily faces.
To think that my friends are expecting me and my husband to have had s*x….. well.
I didn't tell them why I had to marry Justin in the space of two months even when they knew I wasn't dating anyone. They all thought I just found love that fast. I feel so bad for not telling them the truth.
Even when the social Media saga threw believable news in their faces, they didn't buy it because they all knew my family is a very wealthy one who doesn't need to be coerced into forcing their daughter to marry a richer family. I never told them about our near bankruptcy and the need for me to cover my family's shame.
“And what do you want to know about the deed?” You are a married woman so you should know”. I said maintaining a smiling face and we all laughed.
“I think someone should check up on Sophia at this point because I'm sure she would go crazy to see you glowing in your marriage” audriella chipped in and we all laughed.
They always teased me about not having a man before and how boring the single life is and now they think I have escaped that…. Well not knowing.
We shopped for over three hours as we were gisting and laughing loudly in the mall. The girls were stocking for their families and I am glad to finally be able to join on this date.
We decided to all start shopping from Bonsors, even though items here were a little more expensive than where we were used to, we can afford it still.
Before now, I was always shopping for my parents house but now, I am shopping for my husband's house. Well, mixed feelings.
Just then, my phone rings out and I checked the caller id to see It is an unknown number. I picked it up at the second ring.
“Hello ma'am, are you Mrs Theodore?” Please come to Houston
's hospital. Your husband collapsed and was rushed here…..
What!
