I leaned against my desk, eying her, trying to come up with some ploy to get close to her when it occurred to me that her obvious burgeoning pregnancy was the perfect opening. Perhaps I could offer to pray for the baby and make an excuse to put my hands on her belly. At that point, I was thinking of nothing else. I didn’t think about my family, my wife, or kids.
