The next day I was moved into a slightly larger room that also had a very nice view but still had the metal screen over the window. The primary difference was that the basic amenities of a television, radio, and phone were available. I wasted no time in calling Alissa. Nashville was an hour ahead on time, so when I got settled into the room about 9:00 a.m. Mountain time, it was around 10:00 a.m. Central time. This meant that unless she had taken the kids to stay with Clara or one of our babysitters so she could go out or have some time to herself, she would be dealing with the usual morning activities.
