He pulled another chair across from mine and sat facing me only a couple of feet away. “Did it ever occur to you that you are fighting the wrong demons?” he asked.
“What are you talking about?” I lifted my face up to look at him.
“Well, here you are trying to control these urges, you know, trying to make yourself be a good boy. Maybe you even think you can try to be a better man than your father was.”
“I’ve NEVER touched a child in lust!” I demanded.
“Yeah…mmm hmmm. That’s right. Then, you already are a better man than your father was. You never touched a child in lust, not like your father did to you. Hey, that’s good, man. That’s really good. You have made sure you didn’t put another child through what you have been through.”
