Lynetta began encouraging her parents to come to our house on Sunday after church. Her daddy invited us to come to their house for Sunday dinner, and even though it was a long way off, there were a couple of times that we went. We rode over there with them in their car, and then they brought us back because we didn’t have a car at that time. Lynetta’s family had a nice house. It was an old farmhouse, but her daddy kept it pretty much updated and in good repair. They had running water in the house even though it was basically an outdoor pump over a sink.
