I Don't Care

Jess Baron was going through some documents on his table when the telephone on his table rang. He picks the call and it was from the receptionist. " Hello, who wants to see me". Jess asked. He hesitates for a while and answered. "Okay, let her in".

Few minutes later the door of his office opened and his secretary walked in with a woman behind him. The woman was Mrs Grace Julius.

" Good morning, Mr Baron". Grace Julius greeted.

" You may sit". Jess Baron replied to her.

"Thank you". Grace Julius said as she sat down.

Jess Baron turned to his secretary and said, 'you may go back to your business'. The secretary left Jess Baron's office.

" Good morning madam, I will appreciate it if you go straight to the point with whatever you've come here to say. I really do not entertain people who I haven't given appointment ". Jess said to Grace.

Mrs Julius was so nervous." Thank you sir for your time and I really appreciate how busy you are and - ---.Grace was still speaking when Jess cut her word short.

"Can you go straight to the point". Jess Baron said getting irritated.

" Sorry about that, I came because of my husbands loan". Grace said.

"What about it". Jess asked with a straight face sharing at her.

" Ehm...... can you give us more time". Grace asked.

Jess Baron flared up. "What more time are you talking about. how much time so you need to pay off 20million. look woman, am aware that the house is the only property he hasn't gambled away as he is known by everybody. If you think you can come here and bring up sentiment, then you are in the wrong place. If that's why you are here kindly get up and leave my office".

Mrs Grace Julius stood up and pleads with Jess. " Please Mr Baron, we will be homeless ".

" I don't care". Jess Baron said as he called his secretary.

The office door opened as his secretary entered. "Send this woman out of my office". Jess instructed his secretary.

'Madam, please'. The secretary said as he gestures his hand towards the door.

Grace Julius was still pleading with Jess when she suddenly blanked out and slumped in his office.

" No--No --No, you are not going to die in my office ". Jess Baron said as he and his secretary rushed towards Grace trying to revive her.

" Get the driver, we are taking her to the hospital ". Jess Baron said to his secretary as they try carrying her out of the office to the hospital.
