Escape

I escaped. I escaped, got away from my abusive father, away from my meek mother, away from my abusive brother. But instead, I ran straight into the arms of my friend and my enemy, both of whom has a thing for me. So, what could go wrong? Said no one ever. This is my story. All mine. They wanted me to put my parents in a good light, put my current family in a bad light. To say that my parents were good people. That my family forced me to do all of this. What ever they tell you, it’s not true. Its unfair. Here’s the true story. Everything on paper. "Come on, Lux! Come on, you can do it!" I murmured softly as I tiptoed carefully past Evan's door. I heard snoring and began to giggle softly. Not softly enough, so it seems. The door flew open, and Evan stared down at me, his face a mask, never showing what he's feeling unless he's taking what he wants from me. Then he smiled, (rather creepy if you only see him smile at night. Note, the light was on. I've only ever seen his smile in the light of the moon), and as I turned to run he grabbed me by the arms and pulled me into his room, slamming the door behind us. I felt myself being pushed up against the wall, and Evan blocked me in with his arms. “Evan... Evan, don't! Please!" I said softly, and he hissed as he pressed his hardness up against me. I winced. He leant towards me, his lips inches away from mine, already turned on and panting, his eyes filled with lust for me. I watched his chest and broad shoulders rise and fall quickly as he tried to catch his breath and regain his posture. “Why.. Why are you running... Baby... " He breathed, which drove shivers down my spine- not the good ones, the bad ones. “Well, babe? Why are you running?" I stayed silent, trying to think of a way out of the current situation. “You have five seconds before I get pissed off, Little Light. I don’t take kindly to being ignored.” I started speaking as soon as he said this. I’ve grown up learning that we don’t mess with Evan when he’s mad. That’s the only thing that my mother could actually teach me. “Well, Evan, I was thinking,” I said hesitantly, “maybe we could work together.” Evan started at me suspiciously. “I’m listening.” “Well, I could help you with your needs if you help me with mine...” I ventured, and Evan grinned. “I like where this is going, oh Little Light of mine. Why don’t you show me what you can do for me?” He hissed in my ear. I knew that as soon as he felt it he would call for father. I had to be quick. “Well, Lux?” I gulped, and Evan bellowed as I kicked hard, right where the sun doesn't ever and won't ever shine. Pushing him away from me, I pulled open the door and darted down the hall, dodging various obstacles in my path. "LUX IVANSHOV-PINES!"My father roared, bursting out of his room with my mother scuttling nervously behind him, and thundered down the hallway towards me. Cornering me at the bottom of the stairwell, he drew out a knife and was about to make the first cut when the front door flew open. The police and a few familiar faces stood at the door, surveying the scene in front of them: my semi naked father cornering me, kneeling on the floor, a knife pressed on to my stomach, only an inch away from piercing the skin; my mom leaning over the banister, her mouth open wide in a silent scream; my brother pressing me up against the wall, his lips smashed hard against mine; and me, with my tear stained face, my pleading, surprised eyes and ripped clothes, being kissed against my will by my big brother and if I moved even the slightest I would be sure to get beaten and maybe even r***d. After hesitating for at least three minutes, the police finally decided to take action. “Please drop the knife and step away from the girl, sirs!" The first police man shouted. Too late. Father has already let the knife pierce my skin. and I fell, my knees buckling wound, drawing more and more blood from me and drinking it all up. Evan still had me pressed against the wall, and as I turned my head and broke the kiss to cry out in agony, he raised his hand and struck me across the cheek, letting me go. As I sank to the floor, two of the police rushed at Evan and my father, knocking them to the floor. "Lux..." Mom murmured softly, beside me in an instant. "Don't worry, darling. They won't be hassling you any longer." Then, turning to my father, she did the one thing I thought she'd never have the guts, or brains, to do. She stood up to papa. "Alessio Ivanshov. This has been going on for way too long. I was obviously completely blind not to notice what you and Evan were doing to our daughter. Our only daughter, and you were harming her, verbally, mentally and physically. I can't believe I married a man like you. And you," she said turning on Evan. He gulped. What? My mom can be scary if she wants to be! "You, young man, take after your father! I can see why Twilight is so afraid of you. r****g her day in day out! I'm glad I called the police on you." Father growled in frustration. "Ayla Ivanshov-Pines! You'd better get used to—" He started, before one of the police men cuffed and gagged him. “Lux, please? You can make them let me go, please?" Evan begged, his icy blue eyes full of lust and cowardice. "Please, Lux! I haven't done anything! Please, baby!" I crawled over to him, wincing as my wounds smarted, previous and new wounds trickling blood as I moved. He yanked his arms away from the police and held them out to me. “Evan... I'm sorry... Really..." I whispered, and fell into his arms. “No, baby, I'm the one who should be sorry. I betrayed you. Please forgive me?" He whispered, holding me close. Suddenly, as he gave me one last kiss on my forehead, he was yanked away from me. I screamed, and began thrashing around as I felt someone pick me up, their arms wrapped around my back and my legs. “EVAN! EVAN, HELP ME!" I screamed, only falling silent as I looked up at the man who had lifted me from the floor. "Hush, child. Let's get you back to Cascade Pull. We need to get you cleaned up," a familiar gruff voice murmured. I sighed, and moaned in pain as a hand pressed against my wound, stemming the flow of blood. "Grandpa... Uncle Ryder... I missed... You..." I murmured, and as the pain took over my body which had been harmed for 15 years, all I saw was pitch black darkness. But finally, finally, I escaped.
