Regrets All Around

Theo POV He had just kissed his new bride goodbye so he could get them checked in. It worked out well. He wanted to ask for a few things to be arranged to surprise his new bride. Taking her virginity had been even better than he fantasized about. He couldn't wait to have her in his arms again. What would Candy say or do if he decided to actually try and make the marriage work? He wasn't so sure he could hurt Lex as badly as they planned and, if he was being honest with himself, he was getting some very strong feelings for his new bride. It took him longer than he wanted to at reception, but they agreed to all his surprises and promised to have the first arranged before they reached their room. He walked to the lobby to meet his new bride. He couldn't wait to carry her upstairs and ravish her again. He had been waiting for a while when his phone went off with a message. L: Give Candy my love and let her know I said hi. Goodbye Theo. Divorce papers will reach you once you arrive back home. I just wanted to let you know that I have always loved you since we were young. Never in all my life did I think you would do to me what you have done. You will never see me past today and for that I'm grateful you broke me in so many ways today. I hope you have a great life with Candy. She is the one you love after all. I love you always...goodbye! He frantically tried to call her, but it wouldn't go through. She had to still be there. Where could she have gone? They are in Hawaii hours by plane away from their home. Before he could even consider where to look or where she could be, his phone started ringing. It was his father, and although he didn't want to talk to him, he knew it was a call he was allowed to ignore. "Hello Father, to what do I owe this call during my honeymoon," Theo greeted his father. "Kind of difficult to attend a honeymoon without a wife, wouldn't you say? A plane ticket awaits you at the airport. Return home immediately. In case you were wondering, you will no longer be taking over the firm. In fact, as of this moment you are fired! How could you do all this to that poor woman? You should be so ashamed of yourself!" He didn't even have time to respond. His father had hung up on him. How did it all go wrong? Not even an hour ago, everything was going just as it should have been. Now what was he supposed to do? He had to return home. His father demanded it, but what was going to be waiting for him when he returned? He went back to reception and checked himself out without even going to look at the room. Everything was gone to him now. At least he still had Candy. He could always find a new job in a different firm. Those two could still be together though. When he arrived at the airport, he realized his father had reserved him a flight in coach. What happened to their jet, and he must really be angry with him if this is what he let him have. His thoughts continued to tumble out of whack all the way home. What was he going to do and what had he just done to poor Lexi? That was the only thing he ended his thoughts with was what about his poor wife. He had broken her and still had no idea where she was. She could be wondering around Hawaii for all he knew. Once he saw his father, he would let him know what a mistake he had made and that he really did want Alexandria and ask if his father could help him fix his mess. He didn't even care about the firm anymore. He just wanted to find his wife and make her feel better. After he landed, he decided to stop by his apartment before going to see his father. He needed a shower and a drink to even think about handling the anger his father was sure to project his way. Before he could insert his key, he started hearing a noise, a noise that was all too familiar. Who could be at his home, though, doing that? The only person that had a key was his housekeeper and Candy and, with everything in him, he was hoping he was going to fire a staff member and not something else. He pushed forward though and entered his penthouse apartment. When he entered his room, he couldn't believe what he found. His best friend, Charles, and his girlfriend Candy. He didn't even know if he had a right to be angry, but he was furious. "Both of you get out of my house now and never return!" He yelled at the two, startling them from stopping their adultress actions. The pair quickly dressed themselves after their activities. He had now truly lost everything his wife left him, his father wasn't going to let him have the firm and his girlfriend was a cheating w***e. "Sorry man, she didn't want to hurt you, she just loves me more," Charles told him. "Both of you get out and never contact me again. Do you both understand, just GET OUT!" What happened to his life in less than a day? He had the most beautiful and intelligent bride a law firm would of been under his control. He lost it all and for what a cheating woman, how long those two had been going behind his back and what their end goal was. I had lost everything, and worse yet, I still had to go and face my father about it all. But he will tell me he told me so especially once I tell him everything. He waited until he heard both the idiots leave his home, and then turned around so he could head to his family's mansion. Maybe he can plead with his father and he will help him get Lexi back. How stupid was he? She was incredible, and I was going to play her like a fool. More the fool I am. He kept trying to call her, but the call wouldn't go through. He assumed that she had blocked his number. He just wanted to talk to her and try to explain she didn't even let him respond. He changed his mind. After being with her, he didn't want anyone else. He wanted his wife and he had no idea where she went to. He wasn't looking forward to talking to his father, but he hoped his father would at least help him get his wife back. They all wanted him to marry her so they would help him now. He hoped with everything he had they would help him find her. She was the only thing that mattered now. He walked into his father's office to not only find his father, but Darryl. Lexi's dad was there as well. "Where is she? Where is my wife?" Theo demanded of both of them. "You have no right to ask the whereabouts of my daughter. You lost that chance when she found out about your scheme. She is gone, even to me at the moment, so please refrain from raising your voice," Darryl angrily told him. "What do you mean? She is gone even to you. Bring her back. I made a mistake. I don't want that cheating good for nothing Candy I want my wife back. She can't be gone. I want to see her right now. Please, I will beg if I have to." "You don't understand, son, she is gone. It's her wish for no one to know where. We have to respect her wishes after what you did. How could you lie to everyone and come up with this nonsense? Do you not think I have put contingencies in just in case you were to decide to do something so horrific! I didn't raise you to be this way, that poor girl has always loved you. How could you break her this way?" His father, Jim, was all but snarling at him, and he really couldn't say anything back, he deserved everything they threw at him. "Fine, please tell her if either speaks with her. I'm so sorry and regret it all and wish I could take it back. I want to take it back so I didn't hurt her, no other reasons. I don't care about the firm anymore, please tell her that. I just want her back." He looked at both his father, Jim, and Lexi's father, Darryl, before turning around and leaving. He didn't want to wait for their response; He knew he had screwed up, and apparently he couldn't fix it or apologize for it. Wherever you are, Lexi, I am so sorry, and I love you sweetheart.
