Feelings

Heavyn's POV   He kissed me?! Why did he kiss me?! I can't believe he did this to me! I head to the bathroom and shut the door. I try to calm my breathing down to normal. 'He had no right to kiss me as he did. What do I do?' I say to myself. I hear a loud knock on the door.  "Yes, I am coming out now! One moment!" I answer the knock.  I open the door and see Princess Layla there with an angry look on her face.  'Did she hear what I just said?' I think to myself.  "What did you just say that my fiancé did? You said he kissed you? Is that what I heard? Did you let it happen?" she asked.  "Um.. yes, he kissed me. I tried fighting him off but he kept going," I said, nervously.  She clenched her fists tightly together. "Is that why you are here?! To steal my fiance away from me? Because it will not work," she asked.  I gasped. "No, your highness. I will never do that. Because I have already let him know that we will never work being together due to our statuses, alright? You can try to let him know this. Maybe he will listen to you more," I said.  She just nods and walks away to his room. I see him coming out of the room and he just looked at me and smirked. I sighed and looked away.  Princess Layla walked straight up to Prince Devin. She just smacked him and yelled, "How could you kiss her?! She obviously didn't want you to do that! And you're my fiance too! Why?!"  "How dare you smack me?! And does it matter if I kissed her or not? What if it was someone else that I had kissed? Would you still care this much? You do know that this wedding is nothing more than a business partnership and nothing more, right?" he asked.  I gasped and quickly ran down the stairs. I told Destiny to grab her belongings and follow me out now. She starts rushing out after me and we almost make it to the front gate until the gateman stops us and does not want to open the gate for us.  "Please open the gate! Why won't you let us out? We have to leave immediately, sir!" I shouted.  "I received orders from the Prince to not open the gates. Please don't make it hard for me," he said.  "Fine. You don't have to open the gate, we will just climb it and go over. Come on, Destiny, we need to go now," I said. We begin to climb up the gate and almost make it to the top until both Prince Devin and Prince Rex rush outside towards us.  "Get down from there!" Prince Rex shouted.  "No, we must go! Leave us be! We can no longer stay here anymore," I said. Destiny looks at Prince Rex and he sighed.  "Please get down before you hurt yourselves, this is not safe!" Prince Devin yelled out.  I continue climbing down onto the other side of the gate but I lose my footing and slip to the ground. I grunt in pain and try to stand up, but my ankle hurts badly.  Prince Devin has the gateman open the gate and he rushes over to help me up.  "Are you alright, Heavyn? Why did you do such a thing? Rex, help her sister get down now," he asked, looking at me.  "Why do you care? You just seem to not care about what I want and just do whatever you want," I asked. He just sighs. He helps me up, and I try to put some pressure on my ankle, but to no avail, as it hurts badly.  "I can't walk on my ankle. It hurts too much! What should I do?" I cry.  He steps in front of me and kneels down, and says, "Climb onto my back. I will piggyback you to get back into the palace. We will get a doctor to see about your ankle, alright?"  I quietly get onto his back and he begins to walk back into the palace. He's not saying anything because he seems to be mad. He heads to a place that must be his study and places me down on his couch gently. He calls his doctor and asked him to come immediately.  "Your Highness, please don't be angry with me. I am sorry for this. You don't have to worry your doctor by having them come over to help me," I said.  He faces me and says, "Stop trying to talk yourself out of this. He is on his way to help you get better and that is final. No objections on this, okay?" He walks out as he sees the doctor heading over to us.  The doctor looks familiar and is very handsome. Wait... is that Jaxon from university? He had a crush on me and I didn't really give him a chance then, because I wasn't looking for anyone.  "Heavyn, is that you? What are you doing here and what happened to you? I'm here for your ankle?" he asked.  "Oh, hey, Jaxon. I hurt my ankle, it's really no big deal. You don't really have to help me, because I will be alright. So, you're a doctor now? What a small world, huh?" I said, smiling.  Jaxon smiled and said, "Yeah, finally got this MD degree I had been fighting for. Now, let's look at our ankle here, shall we?" He comes towards me with his medical bag.  "Let me see your ankle before Prince Devin here loses a brain cell over there, because we are reconnecting. After this, maybe we can grab a cup of coffee and catch up with each other. How would that sound?" he said. After a few minutes later, he has my ankle wrapped up in an ankle gauze to keep the pressure off.  "Thank you for this, Jaxon. Nice seeing you again," I said.  "Here's my phone number so we can grab that cup of coffee sometime. Deal?" he says, handing me his phone number on a business card.  Prince Devin clears his throat loudly.  "Yeah, sorry. I should be on my way. I'll be waiting on you to text me so when we can get together," he says, heading out.  Before they walk out, Prince Devin turns back to me, and says, "You better not use that number or else. I'll be right back. Let me see Jaxon out." Or else what? I will definitely use this number if I want to. And I want to.
