What’s Next?

As I saw Eze walking away from us in handcuffs, I was actually worried about what would or could happen next. I tried to not look at Prince Devin's facial expression but he spoke to me, saying "Are you worried about what could happen if he gets out? You know you and your sister are able to stay with us at the palace until we find you that place. Is that okay with you?"

"Oh no, you're alright. We don't want to be a bother to you and the royal family. You have already helped us enough. We don't want to overstep our place as you are still royalty no matter what," I said. He chuckled.

"Because we are royalty? We cannot want to continue to help you without asking for anything in return? Has accepting help from other people really been that hard for you both? Because you will have to learn how to accept when you're with us, understand?" he said.

"You will not change how we are as people. For me, I cannot accept help without repaying someone for what they did. You will know that if you feel like sticking around to get to know me," I said.

I begin walking over to Destiny, Rose and Cherri, but he takes a hold of my arm and turns me to face him.

He pulls me closer to his chest and whispers softly in my ear, 'I will definitely be sticking around to get to know more of you and more about you. You will not be getting rid of me that easily. You need a real man to show you how to be cared for. I will give you tips. Matter of fact, I will teach you and help you both get back out there to meet good guys. My brother with Destiny, and you with me.'

He steps back and drops my arm. I hurry to my sister and my coworkers. They hug us tightly and ask, "Okay. What are you both planning to do?"

"We will be looking for a place that is unknown to anyone, apart from the people that are close to us and we can trust. So, you and our parents, and the royal princes will know, because he says he wants to pay for the place we find and make sure we are safe," I say, shyly rubbing my arm.

Destiny notices my arm motion and asks, "Everything alright? Did something happen?"

I shake my head No. "Nothing happened. Nothing could possibly happen because they're royalty and we are regular people. Come with me for a quick moment, Des. Excuse us; we will be right back," I say. She and I head to the bathroom.

"He says he wants to help pay for the new place we find? And why is that? What does he want in return? Or what is he and his brother planning?" she asked, worried.

"Nothing. They are not planning anything and don't want anything from us in return as they just want to help us out. We can accept their help so we don't offend the royal family in any way, shape or form. But, I will go work to repay off our debt, as a maid in the palace. You don't have to worry about doing the same, as I am doing on behalf of the both of us. How does that sound?" I said.

"Are you sure you don't think I should help as a maid too? I don't want you to do it alone," she asked.

"I am truly sure. As he doesn't even know that I plan on doing this, okay? I want you to not have to worry about a thing. I am supposed to provide for you as you're my younger sister, not the other way around," I say.

She hugs me tight and I hug her back. Our parents see us as we head back out to the front. Our mom and dad head over to us.

"My darlings, we are so sorry for not believing you! We are the worst parents alive! We don't even deserve to be your parents anymore! How could we not believe you, our own daughters?!" our father yelled.

We hugged them tightly and said, "Please don't beat yourself up over this. We're okay now and safe. Thanks to the help of the princes and those video clips we used tonight. We are not mad with you and we don't hate you. You both are the best parents anyone could ask for."

Our mother touches our bruises softly and we flinch as they are still kinda fresh. She stifles back a sob.

"Mom, please don't cry. We're okay; we're right here. They cannot hurt us anymore," I say, choking back mid - tear.

"Where are you both going to stay tonight? Because they can try to come find you two if they get out somehow. We will also be leaving away tonight. We just need to know that you're safe and protected," our dad asked. I feel Prince Devin behind us.

"They will be staying with us at the palace. They will be cared for and protected, believe me," he said. I look at Prince Devin and sighed.

"We need to talk alone. Now," I whisper to him.

He nods and says, "Whenever you're ready, just let me know. I am willing to hear what you have to say." I just rolled my eyes.

My mother and father looked shocked. "Is everything okay love? Did you need help with anything? You know that we are always here to help with anything if you need it," our father asked.

I shook my head. "Everything is alright, don't worry about anything. We just need to talk and set things straight between us. Alright? We will be right back shortly, so please excuse us," I said. Prince Devin follows me to the stairwell so we can talk alone.

"Why are you saying that we are going to stay with you both? Don't you remember that we are not of the same statuses, Your Highness? Keep that in mind as you talk," I said.

"Well, it's up to your parents at this point, then," he said, and walks away. I sighed and head after him.
