CHAPTER 60 My return to the States is nothing like what I would have expected. The US government managed to keep Secretary Hamilton’s trip a secret. The only people who meet us when we land near D.C. are some Feds in suits. They don’t want me talking to the media until I’ve been debriefed, and the American physician who met Hamilton and me in Hamburg, Germany, doesn’t want me to be debriefed until I’ve regained my strength. It’s not until I’m in the American hospital that I realize how truly sick I am.
