At the mention of Martha Parish, Audrey froze. She was sure it wasn't the Martha Parish that she had just confessed her secret to. And she was also sure the caller had made a mistake in calling her but she mustered up enough courage to ask the caller what he really wanted. "Martha parish is someone I know very well." " very well doesn't tell how well you know her." " Look whoever you are, if you have a problem with Martha, go find her. I can't help you". " that means you don't want to know anything about your friend," the caller was sure Audrey would soon. "Martha? I doubt if I'd want to have anything to do with her from now on." "If it has gotten that serious, then I might as well not tell you anything." the caller said. Audrey was still boiling over Martha's behaviour. And she was still worried about Martha spreading rumours about her extra-marital affairs. She began to juggle the thought of wanting to know what information the caller had about her friend. "Okay listen, I don't how you got my number and why you turned to me when you could simply reach out to Martha, but..." "Never mind how I got your number," the caller interrupted, "I just want you to know we can reach out to Martha any time." "We?" Audrey ask surprised "Yes, we. Martha knows who we are," "So why come to me?" Audrey asked feeling uneasy as the conversation progressed. "Why you? Because Martha can be quite stubborn.
