Six months after the wedding.
At first, Arthur made up all kinds of excuses to avoid sleeping with me. Eventually, he stopped pretending and moved into a separate bedroom.
That suited me just fine. I poured all my energy into working at the factory.
Mr. Smith, however, never seemed to truly trust me. I was anxious to find a breakthrough to speed things up.
Conveniently, that breakthrough delivered itself to my doorstep. Elena "accidentally" left her phone on my desk, the screen displaying her suggestive texts with Arthur.
I caught one key detail—they were planning to make me a part of their sick little game for an extra thrill.
When Elena returned to retrieve her phone with a show of innocence, she found me completely unfazed. She asked in surprise, "Aren't you even a little angry after seeing that?"
I smiled. "I never snoop through other people's private business."
She froze for a moment, unable to argue further, and left with a look of lingering doubt.
Watching her walk away, I silently muttered to myself, 'Yeah, right.'
I unlocked my phone and ordered hidden cameras online.
After waiting patiently for a month, Arthur finally handed me a glass of milk with a nervous look on his face. I took it with feigned delight, drank it, then excused myself to the bathroom to throw it all up.
Believing I was sound asleep, Arthur called Elena over. The two of them went at it like a house on fire, putting on a taboo show right beside my bed.
Pulling myself back to the present, I stripped the bedsheets and threw them out, along with the rose essential oil soap in the bathroom. I didn't want to see a single trace of any unwanted guests in this house again—including Arthur!
Elena's husband, in complete denial, blocked me right after replying to my message. I had to find another way...
Over the past few months, I had figured out Arthur's personality—dull, impulsive, and easily manipulated if you stroked his ego. He was constantly short on cash, and the only reason Elena stayed with him was because he was the Smiths' only son, destined to inherit the family fortune.
Suddenly, a plan began to form in my mind.
