Raven (Part 1)

When I awoke from the most peaceful dreamless sleep, I found that I was alone once again. I stretched with the biggest smile on my face, and yawned. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and sat up pushing the blankets back. I turned to the left swinging my legs over the side of the bed. As I stood, I stretched out again making a high pitched squeaky noise for a good 10 to 20 seconds.

There was a knock on my door as I finished stretching and squeaking. My fathers voice came through the door, "DJ sweetie, are you awake? Dr. Sarah would like for you to come down to the dinning room for lunch if you are up to it of course."

I smiled as I turned toward the door, "Yes daddy. You can come in by the way." I turned back to my curtains, which'd covered my French doors. My father entered as I walked toward them. When I reached them, I grabbed the one on my right, and as I walked toward the wall I pulled the curtain with me to open it. I tied it with the curtain ties to hold it in place. I turned back to the other one and repeated the process. I then returned to the middle of the French doors, unlocked them, turned the handles, and pushed them open.

I closed my eyes breathing in the beautiful afternoon air, whilst closing my eyes and lifted my head toward the sun in the sky. i felt a presence walk up behind me. My arms dropped to my sides as I turned around. I opened my eyes to see tears in my father's eyes. I smiled at him, "Daddy what's wrong?"

My father wiped his eyes just as he came to stand in front of me. "Sweetie, you look amazing today." He wrapped his arms around me slowly. I wrapped mine around him. "The Moon Goddess really knew what she was doing, when she had your mate and his family come earlier then planned." He squeezed me just a bit.

After a little bit, he pulled away. I looked him straight into his eyes, "Daddy, I I I..." I then dropped my gaze and starred at the floor.

I felt a finger push my chin up so we were looking at each other again. I searched his eyes, as he searched mine. "Pumpkin, lets go down stairs and eat. Dr. Sarah has some questions for you, as well as you need to properly be introduced to your mate and his family. He has a lot of questions as well." I remained standing there not making any movement. Daddy looked at me with a puzzling look, "What is it sweetie"

I bit my lower lip. "Ummm, what is going to happen to, to,..." I couldn't even say his name. As well as my voice was so soft. It was just above a whisper.

My father sighed heavily and put on a fake smile and replied, "Dana-Jane, right now just know he is in the dungeons and once everything is with you is taken care of, and you are strong enough." He paused. Looking deep into his eyes, I saw sadness, a guilt. He sighed even heavier before he continued. "I'll explain everything later ok. For now lets go downstairs and eat. Is that ok sweetie."

I could sense that he was hiding something. I just smiled, grabbed his hand with mine, looked in his eyes and nodded. I couldn't speak because if I did I would start crying. Little did I know, that I would be crying so much in next hour that could flood the earth over 5 times, I would have locked myself in my bathroom for the rest of my life.

As we walked slowly down the stairs, with my hands wrapped around my dads arm. My father was laughing, with every step I took. He said it reminded him of when I was a baby learning how to walk, "You, wouldn't let go of me back then either." He said chuckling and shaking his. "You gave the same look to me every time I either try to let you go, or pick you up. You were determined to do it with me."

I stopped halfway down the stairs, and looked at my father with a disappointed scowling look. He started laughing harder unable to talk. "Daddy stop lauffing at me." I said in a baby voice. That made him laugh even harder. I just huffed like a toddler would stomping my foot.

"Hey what's so funn...." The deep voice came from the bottom of the stairs. I looked down at the voice of an angel.

'Man, what I would do to hear him sing!' I thought to myself. 'We would harmonize like two professional singers!' I sighed to myself. It was just his beautiful self and me in the room, until someone next to me cleared their throat.

Before I could protest, "This is taking to long." I was swept off my feet, we bounced up and landed on the railing, and my father and I slide down the banister. My eyes were bulging out of my face, I was white knuckled and holding my breath. When we reached the bottom I frozen in my dads arms. I couldn't speak and my wonderful father just started to laugh again. He threw his back as he laughed. The sound of his laughing sounded like birds singing. I had forgotten how much I missed it.

Suddenly, I felt a strange feeling come over me, my eyes became blurry and I was whooshed back to when I was 3 years old.

*Flash Back*

I was sitting on my fathers knee, as he was bouncing me up and down. It was making me laugh, and make funny baby noises. Which in turn made my father laugh. As, I was enjoying the time with him, someone came running into his office in a panic. My father stood up grabbing me mid air as he almost dropped me, pulled me to him in a very protective manner.

*End of Flash Back*

When I came to, I felt electricity everywhere. I sighed in contentment, and snuggled into my mates neck. I smelt something delicious. It was mouth watering. T sat up and took in my surroundings. We were in the dinning room. My father sat to my right, I was in my mates lap. Jasmine sat to my left. Jay sat across from my father. An older version of Scott sat across from my mate and I, I'm guessing his father. Next to him sat a lady that looked absolutely breath taking, although she didn't hold a candle to the Moon Goddess. She had dark red hair, I swear it looked like silk. Same eye color as Scott's my mate. And that was the only thing that my mate had, that could say that they were related. Now the power I felt radiating off the pair, could suffocate you, like a fish out of water.

They were a powerful couple together. Alpha and Lunas usually strong on their own, but when they are together, nothing can stop them. Next to the Luna was Dr. Sarah and the two were in a deep discussion in a different language that I have never heard before. My father and Scotts father were also in a deep discussion of their own. Sam was next to her mother talking to Jasmine. Jay and Scott were talking together. They each had a plate of what looked like some kind of pasta dish. It smelt soooooooooo good.

I surprised everyone when I stood up, went to the end of the table, grabbing a dish, and climbed onto the table. I eyed the casserole dish in the center of the table. I looked at the plate in my hand and tossed it on the floor, turned back to the casserole dish and feel to my hands and knees. I then leapt like a wolf and before I hit the table, I felt my bones breaking, pain shot threw my body, however, I felt worse pain so it didn't phase me. I felt fur sprout out of my body every where. My mouth became a muzzle, my hands and feet transformed into paws, and a tail grew out of my butt.

I was fully transformed into my wolf before I hit the table. I shook out my fur, trotted up to the casserole dish sniffed the food with my eyes closed I started to pant like a dog and fell down with my paws and legs stretching out on either side of the dish and started devouring what was left in dish. I was getting slobber and food every where but I didn't care. I was so into what I was doing, I didn't noticed everyone around me were either laughing, trying to get my attention, or screaming.

When I finished licking the dish clean, I stood up, licked my muzzle, put my nose in the air and turned toward the other plates on the table. I dove in and ate only the pasta on every dish. When I finished them I still was hunger. I jumped off the table, sniffed the air.

I ignored all the smells in the room, even my mates. Although, I did look at him longer then everyone else. Then I picked up another scent that I have never smelt before. I looked around, going between sniffing the air, and sniffing the floor. I looked at all 3 Alphas and my wolf took over. I watched as if watching a movie.

Raven POV

I looked at the 3 Alphas and bowed my head. 'Good day Alpha's, mate. I am Raven, DJ's wolf. I apologize for my sudden appearance, but we were literally starving. I don't remember the last time either of us ate.' I mind linked the 3 males. 'But I'm going to need the 3 of you and everyone else to shift and follow me now! I don't have time to explain right now but, please try to keep up.' With that I took off through the window in the dinning room to the woods behind the house.

I shook off the glass, and looked back just in time to see the other wolves jump through the same window I just did. Once the last one jumped out, my mate came up to me. We were pretty much the same size, only Scotts wolf stood about an inch taller then me. He rubbed his head under my muzzle against my neck.

'As much as I am enjoying this. We need to go now. I smell something off.' I mind linked Scott.

'Damien. I am Scott Jr's wolf. What do smell Raven? Because we don't smell anything.' Damien mind linked back.

I just shook my head, and took off toward the lake in the middle of the woods. 'Raven, what's going on? I'm scared. What is that smell?' DJ's voice came through my mind.

'Don't worry little one. I will not let anything happen to you or others. Sapphira, Athena and I will show anyone not to mess with us. Ok.' I assured her. It seemed to work because she nodded and remain quiet. I was thankful for it, because I needed to concentrate on the task at hand.

I felt Sapphira and Athena's strengths flow threw me, and the next thing I knew I was standing on top of a cliff, overlooking a waterfall. About 2 minutes later my mate stop beside me. We stood their not saying a word, as I was trying to find the scent again. Damien stood alert as did I. Looking, smelling, listening. I closed my eyes and concentrated on all of my senses, as well as Sapphira's and Athena's. I called upon Sapphira's sight. For dragons, are able to zoom in an see in a way humans use heat sensing equipment. I must say its my 2nd favorite thing I can tap into with Sapphira. Flying is my all time favorite thing! I gave myself a mental head shake. I need to focus. I opened my eyes, to see what Sapphira would see, I then tapped into Athena's and Sapphira's sensing abilities, as well as my own. When I looked out I saw all the creatures of the lake, all the creatures of land and sky.

I didn't know when the rest joined us, but I still hadn't located what was the cause of this panic I felt in the pit of my stomach. Then something caught the corner of my right eye. I whipped my head toward the waterfall just as I saw an arrow whizz through in between my ears just brushing the top of my fur. That's when I saw him. There across the waterfall on the other cliff in the trees at the far side I saw a man notching another arrow, pulling it back, aiming right in between my eyes. He released the arrow. I jumped just before it reached me and caught it in between my teeth, never blinking or taking my eyes off the guy.
