“What do you mean he's gone!" an unexpected pain suddenly grazed my cheeks. Matt had punched me again but I chose not to retaliate. Hitting the alpha, an act extremely frowned upon, but I deserved it!
Why did it take me a full twenty-four hours to realise my mate was nowhere to be found? I know why. I had spent the last couple of weeks ignoring him. I barely saw him, spent no time with him, never tried to explain my thoughts to him.
