Each month a certain amount..generous even by today's standard, would be released to him, but the principal would remain intact and in trust until Mikes thirty -fifth birthday, at which he will get it all. Ian paused for a moment, silently wishing that Mike was the brother he wanted him to be, a brother who didn't need to constantly be reined in by police.He hated being the bad guy. Mike turns Thirty-five next month.

No, i don't, Ian agreed bluntly. If he gets his hand on the money, he'll either be dead in a month, or the money will be gone in six. or maybe both. if my brother survives, he'll be in debt in seven. its his nature and although i have bailed him out in the past, his problem keeps increasing and eventually there wont be enough money in the world to cover his dept.
