Sitting up a little straighter in her chair, Sonia discreetly took another long breath, smiled and asked, So, what can i do for you Mr Wilson?

Several things came to mind, entirely unbidden, surprising him as much as they would have her, id he'd said them loud. luckily, he had learned long ago to keep his own counsel and hold his tongue. But just for the moment, because the last two weekends been hectic and stressful, what with tying up loose ends at work,packing up all his belongings and dealing with his brother far more than he was accustomed to. Ian allowed himself a single quick flight of fancy to compensate himself for the stress.

It coaxed a different sort of smile from his lips.

His audience of one caught her breath again. This had to be the most seductive, sexy smile she has seen in a very long time. lucky thing she is immune to sexy. she had Matt to thank for that. Matt and the string of goo looking, soulless men who'd come before him.

A full five seconds of silence lapse before Ian  finally spoke. i am new in town. realising that wasn't actually true statement, he corrected himself, "well, old new".

His eyes cringed when he smiled, she noted.The next moment, she upbraided herself for even noticing. But at least he didn't take themselves too seriously and that was a good thing.

Actually, Ian Thought, that was a lie. He knew damn well which of the two carried the greater weight for him.knew too he resented it for that reason.it has been drummed into his soul that family always come first. And as if that wasn't enough, his mother's dead bed request is that he "look out for Mike". Because he loved her, he had promised. And if not for the promise, he will be to spend the rest of his life in City F, working and living in bay area. City F is an exciting city. There is always something going on, something to entertain a man or challenge him.

But despite the lure of the city, he couldn't very well turn his back on Mike, especially that he is all Mike had.... weather Mike acknowledge the little rack or not.

Moreover, he i was just possibly all that stood between Mike and destruction.
