Anna’s eyes widened as she stared at Vincenzo, her mind struggling to process what she’d just heard.
"What?" The word came out before she could stop it.
"You heard me," Vincenzo growled.
"I… I don’t understand, Boss," Anna said, shaking her head.
“This is a marriage contract,” Vincenzo said, tapping the black folder with a single finger
“Once you sign it, we’ll be officially married.”
“Married? You mean… I would be your wife?” Anna whispered, the words foreign and terrifying as they left her lips.
“Yes, you will be my wife. You are carrying the Romano heir, and the Romano heir cannot be born out of wedlock.”
He leaned back. “After the child is born, you will nurse it for three months. Then the child will be taken to Italy to be raised by my family.”
