The Alpha

Chapter 7

I woke up around an hour ago and I’ve been avoiding Liam. I have been in the orphanage for 2 hours now. It’s about to be lunch and I’m showing off my cooking skills to the kids, when a feeling hit me. I was like something or rather someone I had known, and I loved was now here. I just shook of the feeling because there is so many people, I know but I couldn’t think of any that were like family. Rose and Chris wouldn’t get here till late dinner.

When I was done, I started placing all the dishes I made on the table. I made spaghetti, alfredo, wings, pizza with cheese only, pepperoni, and a meat lover. I also made a few desserts like heresy’s cookie cake, recesses pie, and snickers ice cream cake. When I was about the grab the punch, the feeling hit me again but this time I turned around.

What I saw brought me to tears immediately. It was Chase. Without letting another second pass I ran to hug him. He looked surprised at first then sad.

“Chase is that really you? I went to look for you when I came back and you were gone. Where did you go.” His expression changed. It felt happier.          

“I was looking for you.” Was all he said. That made me cry more I brought him closer. After he finished eating, he explained that he went looking for me because I never went back and when he didn’t find me in the cave, he started to look all around town. I felt bad for not being there, but he assured me he was fine and that he just missed me.

Then he began explaining his first shift and that had me shocked. I did not know he was a werewolf. He’s matured a lot for being at his age, more than Liam that’s for sure. He continued on how he was found and brought here.

“Come on Chase, get your stuff you’re going with me to the pack house.” I’m guessing he didn’t want to go because he gave me a shy, but scared expression.

“What about the Alpha?”

“Don’t worry about Liam just ignore him and he’ll do the same. I’ll talk to him then everything will be alright ok. You are going to live with me now, like we did before.” He gave me a smile and followed after me.

After saying bye to all the kids and Jess. I went to the pack house to help Chase get his stuff in. Once there I yelled so that everyone could come meet Chase.

“Hello, everyone please come to the front door its urgent.” Liam was in front of me in a second looking at me everywhere to see if I was hurt. When he saw I wasn’t, he looked confused.

“OK, I just wanted to introduce Chase here.” I turn to chase which has a shy smile and is trying to hide from Liam.

“He will be living with us from now on. Thank you that is all.”  Chase looked at me like I was insane. Then to an anger Liam.

“what do u mean he will live with us. I did not agree and also you interrupted my work just for this.”

“First of all, yes he will I am Luna. No matter what you think I am gonna do whatever the hell I want. Second, when I called out, I meant the people that pay attention to me and my friends. I didn’t think you would show up in our mini meeting.”  With that I grabbed Chases hand and led him to our floor. I gave him a room that Liam will probably come scream at me for, but it was one of the best and my room is going to be shared with my Little Rose and Chris.

Chase was in his room getting ready for dinner when I was about to fall asleep. Before I could though, I heard a knock on the door. I opened the door with my powers not wanting to get up and next thing I know Liam was hovering over me, screaming about the room. I decide to ignore until I hear the doorbell. Liam is now flying off me and landing on the ground while I run to the door.

When I see someone is about to open it, I call out to let them know I’ll get it. I could feel Liam’s anger in the room. I think it’s because of Chase and now I invited people over, and I didn’t tell him. I kind of arranged for them to be let in using my Luna authority I did it without notifying Liam.

I opened the door to see my beautiful daughter in the arms of her father. I started to cry and ran to them. I missed them so much. I hug them outside for I don’t know how many minutes, but Liam got me out of my bliss when he cleared his throat.

“Now who the hell are they. More friends you invited. I don’t think they can stay so they need to leave NOW.”  I turned to Liam and his very serious expression. I didn’t think he’d be this cruel.

“Liam this is m…” he cut me off saying             

“I don’t f**k’n care who they are, just get them out of my house.”

“It’s not just your house Liam, but ok since you want them to go, they will. Chase and they will leave, and you will never see them again.” That made him smile and I started to cry at that. I thought I could show him love but all he has in his heart is hate. I can’t believe I thought I could change him. The smile falls when I finish my sentence.

“But if they leave forever, so do I.”

“You think I’ll let you go.” he chuckles, and a tear falls down my cheek.

“You got have to let me because I’m not yours. You’ve made that perfectly clear. I can cast a spell you won’t know where I am, and you won’t be able to find me.” This time I chuckle before continuing to speak.

“You know what’s funny. I thought that you could actually open up to me. I thought that if I gave you time, we could be happy. I thought there must be some reason he keeps pushing me away. I need to at least try.” I pause and wipe the tears that escaped. I look up at him and his emotionless. He just finished breaking my heart. I continue talking.

“You’ve made I clear that you don’t care about me or my family. My past or our future so…I Kate Iris…” I pause and sob before continuing. He’s now showing some emotion. He looks like he’s…sad.

“I Kate Iris Moon, Luna of Blood Moon Pack, reject Li..” before I could continue, I feel sparks around my waist, belly, chest, cheek, and lips. Liam was kissing me.

“Please don’t leave me. I thought that if I pushed you away it would be easier but…but I love you. I just didn’t want you to find out what I’ve done and leave me live everyone else in my life. James and William are the only ones that have stayed. Even my mother left me. Please don’t leave me... Please. ” I looked into his eyes and for the first time since the time we first met, I saw pure genuine love.

 I gave him a kiss and pulled away. I hope he doesn’t overreact when I tell him that I invited the daughter I never told him about and her father.
