The Alpha

Chapter 8

“Liam?” he didn’t move from his spot. 

 When we began to argue, Will took Chase, Chris, and Rosie out of the room so we could talk. I should thank him later.

Liam is just hugging me, and he doesn’t want to let go. It hurts to see him like this. I try to move because well I don’t know how long we have been in this position, but my feet and back are now starting to hurt. And I’m hungry.

“Liam, how about I go ask Joe to make us some food. I will tell Will to take care of the guest for today. You can go to my room so we could watch movies.  That way me and you could just lay down in bed, cuddle, talk. What do u think?” I look as him and find a tear escaping his eye so wipe it away.

“Don’t take long. I’ll wait in your room.” I pull back and give him a small smile before I start to walk to the kitchen, but before I could get anywhere Liam pulled me into his embrace and kiss my lips with so much passion and longing.

  I get why he pushed me away I’ve pushed people away because I was scared too. I just want him to tell me why. Obviously, I’m not going to push him to tell me. He needs time.  These kisses are our first and I feel like I had to wait a lifetime for them. I can’t even imagine what he’s feeling.

When we break apart, I look into his eyes before I hurry and shush him away to my room. I walk to the kitchen where Chase is playing with Rosie, while Will and Chris are talking. I walk to Chris and hug him before walking to Rosie and give her a big hug.

 ”I missed you. My little Rose” she giggles before saying “I missed you too mommy.” I kiss her all around her face and she does the same to me.

When we finish, I turned to see Will and Chase looking at me funny while Chris is looking at me and Rosie with love.

“You had a kid…and you invited the guy you had a relationship with to the house of your mate…ARE YOU CRAZY.” Will was going ballistic.

“Come on Liam will be fine with it if he listens to the story. I would tell you, but he is waiting, and I need to get back. I want you to take good care of these three Will. Good Care. They are my family.” He looks at me with a serious face. “Of course, Luna.” I smile before looking for Joe.

”Joe…Joe…”

”I’m, here Kate.”

“Oh, Joe can you make some food for Liam and I. Something light but not to light. Something that he will love and bring it to my room please.” She looks at me with a smirk.

“Joe! We are not doing anything but watching movies and talking so get that nasty mind out of here.”

With that I go find Rose asleep on the couch, so I carry her to a room, tuck her in bed, and give her a kiss good night. When I get to my room, I’m about to open the door when Liam comes out.

"What took you so long.”  I giggle and walk past him.

“I was only gone for like 10 minutes.” I grab his hand and close the door before taking him to the bed.

“Have you picked a movie yet.” He shakes his head and I nod. I motion for him to get comfortable while I walk to get a movie. I end up putting Dark Knight Rises.

 When I go lay on the bed, he immediately cuddles with me. I smile to myself; I’ve been waiting to be with him for so long. I’m glad that today is the day.

 I’m watching the movie when Liam says something and then looks up at me. I pause the movie and look down at him.

"Sorry I didn’t hear you. What did you say?” he just stares at me until I talk again.

 “What did you want to say?” I give him a chance to answer but he never does he just continues to look at me.

“You know you don’t have to tell me until you’re ready to. I won’t push you. Take your time.”  He sits up and I do the same. I’m laying against the dashboard while he’s sitting in the middle of the bed with his back facing me.

“Do you love me?” is the first thing he says but before I could say anything he again speaks.

“Why do you have to be so nice to me when I’m such an ass to you.” This time he turns around to face me. The look he’s giving me, made my heart ache in pain. Seeing him like this is so hard.

“I do love you and it is because I love you that I waited for you to come to me. I felt like there was a reason you were pushing me away and I wanted you to take your time to let me love you and tell me what happened. I tried helping around the only things I couldn’t’ stand for was went you tried to lock me down or mess with those I love.” He smiled slightly before crawling to me. He laid his head on my belly and the rest of him on the rest of the bed.

“I’m sorry for being such an ass…You won’t leave me if I tell you why?”

“No” he began to tell me what happened with his father and mother how his father threatened him to kill and torture wolves form other packs along with rogues. The way he tried to get away from his father but every time he tried, or was close to it, his father would threaten him with his mother’s life. The way he lost his friends because of it. And the way his mother left because she thought he was exactly like his father. For all these years he’s feared finding a mate because everyone leaves him. He lost the most important person in his life that time.

  I listen until he is finished but I stay quiet. Through all his story he stayed laying down on me while I stroked his hair.

 “Liam…” I wait for him to look at me. “I’m surprised you weren’t a bigger ass.” He chuckled and came close to me before kissing me.

 We kissed until we were out of breath. He continued to kiss down my jawline and onto my neck. I sucked in a breath but moaned when he passes his canines over my skin.

“Li…Liam. You should stop we have guests…and I…I” I can’t talk with his breath right on my skin, kissing me. He passes his canines again, a little harder, and this time I moan louder. His lust filled growl takes me into pure bliss. I don’t get out of it until I hear a knock on the door. I push Liam away form me and fix myself up before heading to the door. Liam is growling when I open the door and I see Joe flinch. I turn to Liam.

“Liam, stop.”

“She interrupted.” He says like he did nothing wrong.

“She didn’t interrupt anything. Plus, I asked her to bring us food.” He huffs. “Aren’t you hungry  Liam.” He stays silent but when I begin to turn towards Joe, he mumbles ‘yeah but not for food’. Joe tried so hard to hold in her laugh while I was a red blushing mess. I wanted to slap the s**t out of him.

“That was not funny!” I say when I close the door.

“It wasn’t meant to be funny. It was a fact.” He looks right into my eyes, but I look away.

“We should eat. Come on.” He just looks at the food and I sit next to him.

We eat in silence and when we finish , I try to find the courage to tell him about Rosie and Chris. I really needed to tell him everything. I didn’t want to keep it a secret any longer. And it was to late to tell him before they arrived because they were already here.

“Liam, I also have to tell you something. But you have to promise me that you’ll listen to the entire story before doing anything.” He stayed quiet.

I was scared that he would reject me because I had a daughter that wasn’t his and invited not just her but the guy that I had her with, to his pack. I know he was afraid of people leaving him and being alone, but I had a child with someone else. Will he look past it?  I just needed him to listen to everything before deciding to reject me or punch the crap out of Chris. I didn’t want him to do any of these things so, I need to tell him now.

“What’s wrong?” he asked with concern.

“I have a 3 year old child. She’s the one you tried to throw out earlier and the guy with her is her father. I invited them here.” I let him take it in.

“When it happened, I didn’t know what I was doing. I was drugged and…” I didn’t get to finish before he growled and started to walk towards the door.

“Where are you going?”

“I’m gonna go kick his ass.” He opened the door, but I closed it with my powers.

“Let me out the room Kate.” I could see the anger in his eyes.

“Not until you listen to me. It wasn’t his fault.” He looked at me hurt.

“How is him raping you not his fault? How can you side with him after what he did to you.” he growled out as he looked at me with a look of betrayal. I can’t handle any more of that look.

“It’s not his fault because I r***d him too. We were both drugged by our friend. She used the drug that makes you dizzy and confused and induces s*x hormones. We didn’t know what was happening…She wanted to push me away from one of my best friends. She had a crush on him, and he hated Chris...So she drugged us and when he went to check on me, he saw Chris. Me and Chris were best friends and he knew that but he though Chris liked me just like he did, that’s why he hated Chris. The look of betrayal he gave me, hurt…I lost my best friend that day, but I wouldn’t change it because I love my daughter…She’s my everything. Please just get to know Chris. I’m sure you can be friends and I know you’ll love Rose.” I wait for him to react but it’s hard to see because he’s still facing the door and my tears are making my eyesight blur.

 When I’m about to say something he turns around, and rushes to hug me.

“I’m sorry. I should have been there for you. I’ll try…for you.” He continues to hug me, and I feel like things are finally falling into place.
