That sound, as pups we'd been thought that whenever you heard the sound of a horn, wherever you were just look for a place to hide. it's like an alarm, a way of signalling the people that trouble is at the doorstep and right now, I don't know what I expected but nobody is panicking or screaming. But you could feel the tension in the air.

Yet they were all acting like they've practiced this a million times, all the kids outside just file into the pack house in an orderly fashion and they start going down the stairs while mystery guy who's now kept a tight grip on me and is pulling me along with him is now barking orders at the wolves and because of the amount of people in the house, the place feels stuffy and cramped.

"Everyone who is not a fully trained warrior into the safe room now ". he pauses looks at his side and says "that includes you Taylor". he says to a girl who looks about 15 and was definitely trying to sneak past him. she pouts which makes her look very cute and she asks him "why can't I join the fight? you said it yourself that I'll be a great warrior and I'm a fast learner". he sighs like he's doesn't have the energy to have this discussion with her right now. just as he's about to give her an answer a lady I hadn't seen before stepped up and said " Taylor you may want to go out now and fight, but trust me, you're not prepared to face that music yet, now come on let's go".. she leads Taylor out and winks... winks???? she freaking winked at him.

I turn to look at him and see him smiling at her graciously and I feel like gouging her eyes out for winking at him, how dare she.... oh no. it's happening, why do I want to fight another female for him.. this is not me. we really should have that talk but not now, after he has dealt with whatever this is.

Mystery guy turns to me and cups my face with both hands, tracing his fingers on my face in slow circles, teasing me with his thumb hovering near my lips before pulling away and I keep trying to turn my face but he keeps a strong hold and I can't move in my own . he dips his head and kisses me all over my face excluding my lips then he bends lower to kiss my neck and bite it breathing in scent. once he's done all that he comes up to his full height, hugs me to his chest and hands me over to the that I failed to notice was behind me all this time.

"I'll be back, okay?".. he looks back his eyes linger on me soft and aching as if he's leaving his heart behind with every step and I can't understand why, why is he looking at me like I'm his world. he turns and shifts faster than I could blink and speeds off like a flash of lightning and I'm struck by how beautiful and magnificent his wolf looks and the way he moves so regal. "He's awesome isn't he"?. the person behind me says and I reply "yes he is". she turns to me and stretched out her muscular and strong looking hand and says " I'm Joey, and I'm the Gamma it is my honour to serve you my Luna, from now on I'll be your bodyguard and I'll protect you .. which is my job and I didn't really have much of it till you came here". her hand is still stretched and I don't want to be rude so I shake it and I go "wow you're so strong, you must work out a lot". and she just smiles ... I think I'm going to like her considering she said she'll be my bodyguard and that she'll serve me? because I'm the Luna!!!!!!

"Wait". she stops walking and turns to me waiting for me to finish what I was about to say.. "Did you just say that I'm you're Luna"?. "yes, did Devon not tell you"?. "Devon"?. "wait you didn't know his name and the bond already pulled you that close? I guess that's what it means to find your true mate". I'm still in shock because according to Kyle only the males can tell who their mate is by mating with them to know if they're compatible together.. I guess I was too much of a fool to believe him.

"Adriana, Luna, I know you're worried about your mate but we've lingered in these hallways for too long we need to take you to your special safe room, if anything happens to you the pr-- I mean Devon will have my head, let's go ". we get to the room I woke up in this morning and she takes us into the walk in closet and goes straight to the mirror and punches through it. and it looks like she just opened a portal so the mirror us a disguise.

it's like we're walking into another small room , but it still has everything. it has a TV, a bathroom, clothes, food, a mini kitchen and other stuff for a person to comfortably live here for probably 3 months. I'm in awe at the display of magic, I have never seen anything like that before. "does Devon know a witch? is this how the other safe room is for the rest of the pack"? "No the pack gets to stay in a normal safe and don't tell anyone about this room or how we got here , no one in the pack knows about it, its just me the alpha and now you. not even the beta knows".

Hmmmm that's a surprise I wonder why he doesn't want anyone to know even his beta. Joey starts again"And before you ask me why he doesn't want anyone to know the answer is I don't know, so you'll have to ask him that yourself. in the meantime you can make yourself comfortable I'll stand guard and watch for anything ". didn't she just say nobody knows what could she possibly be watching out for.
