Elijah Vega. I linger at the door for a second after I shut it. I’ve been on edge at her avoidance to my calls. I thought I had her—only to lose her before I even really got to hold her. It chewed at me and got me thinking, was it the way I let us happen? Should I have not let us take each other so she would not be confused? But now, knowing it was all a misunderstanding, is water onto a flame. It was only a few minutes after I arrived back at the estate that I saw Paloma exactly when she passed the landscape.
