Chapter 5 Fighting back

On a large tree ,sat a man who was watching her every movement. That man was none other than Elias ,the guild master of the strongest assassination guild .
He had been there before her arrival to the lake. And as you might have guessed, he was observing her every actions to her reactions from the very beginning.
When she suddenly shouted at her opposite direction he found Eva interesting.
She reminded him of someone and he became more interested in her. She looked like she was ten judging from her height but she was scrawny and malnourished thus she did not develop much despite her age.
He felt pity for her as there were some scars visible on her back.
And thought curiously about her actions,' how did she find out that there is something that wants to harm her and she did not run away at that. Well that would have been useless either way but she sure have guts to be shouting at a wild animal that could harm her.'
"Then let's see how you'll survive then", said Elias while chuckling in a low voice. He had already known about that creature and deliberately hid his presence so as not to be disturbed. He was certain that she must be the one he was looking for.
After a few minutes a White tiger that looked 10 times my size came out from behind a tree."Rawrr ,how dare a weak human come into my territory, you ugly mutt I'm gonna eat you alive" ,said the tiger.
I was utterly baffled by what I saw and I felt deeply offended by what it said just now.
'What the hell is with this huge tiger, are you kidding me. Like the f*** is wrong with you God ,why are you making it worse for me, no wonder I've been so lucky in the past few days. You're setting me up ,s**t' I cursed at god angrily in my mind.
The tiger took the chance while I was lost in thought to charge at me.
I managed to dodge in time but I got bitten on the shoulders and it hurt like hell."Agghh THAT F***ING HURTS", said I as I winced in pain and grabbed my right shoulder.
At least it did not pierce deeper thanks to my quick reaction, so it is only bleeding a little bit and the pain is bearable but what it did got on my nerves.
'Ah I should have stayed in the water but it's too late for regrets and if I tried to go in the water ,it would surely stop me from doing so.'
'I apologize that I entered your territory but you insulted me by calling me an ugly mutt and for that I'm gonna kill you ,and oh I can understand you', I said to it in my mind as I threw the knife on it.
It was momentarily confused by what I said and by the time the dagger reached it ,it panicked and tried to dodge but it was too late and it hit it near its stomach.
"Rawwr."
It roared in pain. I went near her and took the dagger out quickly as it could attack me anytime and I added a poison that I stole from a medicine shop.
I took the opportunity to get far from the tiger but the tiger wasn't done yet ,it struggled to get back and it strike back at me once again.
But this time it was on the left shoulder ,I ignored the pain and thrust the dagger on its stomach where I first injured it and the poison started taking effect.
I was at an advantage since I was small and it was bigger so it got difficulty to attack me when I stood near or far from it.
Even though I poisoned it , it will take a few minutes before it dies and by then it would have already killed me or rip me to shreds.
But luckily I found something quite sharp on the ground. My knife broke when I stabbed it just now. So I took the opportunity while it was distracted with the effects of the poison and stabbed the neck of the tiger.
Unfortunately I was injured and was bleeding a lot ,so I stopped the bleeding with my ragged clothes and walked near a tree to rest. I knew I would be soon in danger as the blood would attract even stronger beasts.
'So much happened in so little time', thought I.
'Seriously will these kind of things happen often now. First I should try to survive.', I wondered.
I looked in the direction of the man that I had spotted when I was fighting with the tiger.
I could not feel his presence but I saw his black cape from the tree but I simply ignored it as I was busy fighting for my life.
"Are you going to continue watching me ,you pervert? Are you a pedophile or a weirdo?
Elias was taken aback for a second that she was speaking to him then he jumped down from the tree. "Not any of them but you're going to die soon ,if you don't get it treated you know", he said as he looked at my miserable state.
" You want me to help you. You need it so think before you speak."
"Says the man watching a little girl fight against a big bad beast, "I said with an annoyed expression.
" You aren't wrong but you had it under control , no!," answered Elias.
" Well you're not wrong but you look suspicious so I am not sure if I should trust you for now," I said with a pained tone.
"I'll save you ,if you tell me about how you found out that there was something that wanted to attack you and if that is you're ability", he proposed.
"What do yo say not a bad deal now is it ."
She hesitated a bit but when calculation about pros and cons sjhe came to the conclusion that she should tell him.
" Y-yes I do. I can detect presence and I can communicate with creatures telepathically and it was thanks to that I discovered that thing was there."
He looked surprised but then he began healing her by giving her a potion.
After he was done feeding her the potion, he introduced himself, "To correct you from calling me a pervert, a pedophile and what not ;my name is Elias Ashburn,
I am the master of the information and assassination guild.
After hearing about his identity, I was stupefied on the spot with my mouth wide open.
