Chapter 9 Mission begins(1)

Alina woke me up early in the morning. After getting myself ready, Elias sent me the necessary things that I had requested and needed after our long and tiresome conversation yesterday.

And before going he gave me a potion that he said could be useful, he also said that it was from Alina. So I tried to use the teleportation scroll and according to him it would teleport me somewhere near the city.

He informed me beforehand that Nick would be there to monitor me and once again warned me that I had to absolutely complete the mission otherwise our deal would be off and he would kill me , since I now know more than I should .

So for the sake of not getting myself killed , I have to complete this s**t.

I used it and got teleported and once again I got motion sickness like the first time he used the scroll to teleport us.

I cleaned my mouth and I looked around to see where I was and found myself in the middle of that forest.

It was dark and I could hear wolves howling not only that I was feeling extremely cold.

That son of a b**** , he's got to be kidding me, he told me it would be somewhere near the city but is this near the f****** city.

That ass****, I continued to cursed him as I walked around to find out where the exit might be.

I arrived at the place that I had fought my first ever beast and where I also met the guild master, Elias.

'Hah let's get out of here first shall we.'

I walked for hours until I finally reached the city gates.

This sure is nostalgic, isn't it. I diverted the attention of the guards like I had done before with the pebbles and stones but they did not move. So I threw the dagger at them which scared the daylight out of them.

And then I got into the city but this time I was the hunter who would be the one to hunt and not the one to be hunted by others.

I walked around the streets and I suddenly remembered that I knew a place where they sold and manufactured poison.

And poison is the best way to kill someone , I thought but it also has it's disadvantages as well but that does not matter right now.

I walked inside a dark and lonesome alley that no one entered and decided to sneak into a window that was near the bar.

The bar was the place where they sold and manufactured poison. In fact they sold and manufactured not just poison but illegal drugs also.

They also use some kind of code and the price of these things were simply exaggerated. 500 000 gold, can you believe that. This kind of money is enough not to nourish a family of ten for their whole life

So I went inside in the other way and checked if there were anyone in before stealing two bottles of two different kinds of poison in a hurry so as not to get caught if the owner suddenly arrives.

The poison that I stole was Arsenic and Digoxin. There are one of the deadliest poison ever known to the public and it also grants a quick and painful death.

I walked on the street where the crowd was larger and stole a wig and fake contacts to disguise myself from one of the street vendor.

The reason is my hair and eye color are too eye catching and that would pose as a problem to me.

I always wondered why there would be such things here as this was supposed to be a medieval world and such things should be impossible.

But what does that matter at least facilitate my work. I dismissed the weird and bothersome thoughts I was having.

And I got out of the streets after getting the items that I needed and went to an inn to sort out my current plans yet again.

I went into my given room and changed my clothes to a simple long dress. I searched for information surrounding the castle for two days and then I decided to go to the city lord's castle, to get myself recruited.

There were two guards that was standing for watch in the front gate and they looked kind of suspicious but I did not think much of it .

I went near one of them and asked in an innocent tone," Umm, excuse me but I heard that the lord was hiring for maids. Could you please tell me who I should meet to get the job."

The guards looked at me as if I was a weirdo but then they smiled warmly while saying ," You need to meet the head maid , but don't worry you will get the job anyway. Follow the road from there and you'll meet her."

As I was going inside I heard one of them saying.

"It's a pity but she will also end up as a sacrifice for the lord's ritual."

"You are right Max , she looked kind of cute that kid, almost the same age as my daughter."

I went inside the castle and met with the head maid. She introduced herself with her stern face which gave me the creeps and she just looked at me from head to toe as she observed me.

I was expecting questions as I felt her piercing gaze on me as if she wanted to point out something that would make me feel pissed off.

But she just gave me the job and gave me some basic information on what to do and left.

She told me that I would need to help out in the kitchen which made things a lot easier as I planned to poison my target's food and that I also needed to help with the laundry ,the cleaning of the house as well as weeding out wild grass in the gardens.
