Chapter 17 Meeting With The Female lead At Dinner With The Others

"Well that is nice but I feel like I am gonna die" , said I while trying to catch my breath. I saw Alina in a distance and walked near her. We talked a bit but the main subject was about her cute daughter, the female lead. And I could only listen as she showed me around the training grounds.

There was currently no one here and Alina told me that they went in a mission to determine their worth as well like I had done but I am the only one who received a D grade level mission on my very first test-like mission and I even managed to complete it , though barely as I would not have survived if not for the potion Alina had given me.

The training ground was big and spacious . On the left side all kinds of weapons could be seen and there were also red stains of blood on the ground. It was a marvelous place.

We also visited the library and there were like thousands, millions or even billions of books. I had to say that despite what it looked like on the outside, it was very different on the inside.

There were places that I wasn't allowed to enter such as the laboratory. I can only go inside if I receive permission but since Alina was with me I managed to visit it. It reeked of all kinds of herds. In my past life , I used to be a scientific researcher and I was always handling and creating all kinds of meds and I was good at it.

But sadly I got betrayed by my bestfriend who was also my first love. He sent me to the cruel fiance of my nemesis. My nemesis and I used to work together but I got ahead of her and she became jealous. That's when she started plotting against me and I ended up like that.

'Hah why did I think of that when I just started to live my new life'. I then just brushed it off like I never thought of it.

"You will be dinning with us so let's go , it's already time. They must be waiting. You will also meet my daughter there and be friends with her okay little Eva", said Alina sounding slightly excited.

' W-wha-what I will be meeting with Minerva?? Isn't that way too soon! I panicked I did not know what to do but I tried my best to calm down. But once I arrived in front of the door , I got super nervous.

Eva was quite surprised by the quest but she felt pity for the FL as in the novel it was never mentioned about the female lead never having friends or her being an illegitimate child of a count , but does Alina not know what she goes through.

Perhaps Minerva never told her and hid it behind her smile. My, how innocent! I went inside and was greeted by the delicious aroma of food. Alina told me to sit anywhere and I sat near a beautiful little girl that seemed to be around my age that I had spotted the moment I stepped inside.

I knew who those emerald green eyes with her violet long wavy hair belonged to. It was none other than Minerva.

Elias gave me a warm smile that seemed totally suspicious and weird and his face became emotionless again. I mean what the hell , he surely gave me a warm smile even if it happened in a split second.

I ignored what just happened and looked at the girl beside me and Alina began introducing us to one another. "Honey, this is Eva and she is 2 years older than you and will be your new friend and Eva this is my precious daughter that I talked about so much , Minerva. She is a little shy but I hope you get along with her as an older sister.

I smiled sincerely at and said, "Nice to meet you Minerva, since your mom kept pestering me to be friends with you, will you be my first friend." She hesitated a bit before nodding her head.

"Then new friend let me tell you that I am kind of a smart ,mean ,purely honest , with a very bad temper, kind at times or if necessary , cruel if needed and sociopath type of person. There are more but that's all you need to know but I am sure you would be a tolerable friend even if you try to annoy me", said I with all honesty.

Everyone stayed silent , then suddenly Elias burst into laughter before saying," Truly a honest description of you ,you are becoming even more interesting now. I can't believe you just said all that like it was nothing but that's what I like about you , Eva."

I was slightly taken aback and shocked by his reaction but I did not hate it and I liked it that he called by my name and he gave me that familiarity again but this time it was as if he knows something about me which I don't.

Minerva tugged my shirt and looked at me nervously before saying, " It does not matter how you are and you are also my first friend." She then blushed a bit on her cheeks.

How cute?, thought I and said "You look like a cute kitten". "Thank you ", she replied with her flushed face.

I started digging into the delicious food and asked Elias , "When will I be tested". He looked at me and said with a smile ,"After dinner." I looked at Minerva and gave her some meat which was on the table as she wasn't eating much and said ,"You should eat a lot as I won't be able to play with you otherwise." She nodded happily.
